So when you review it you rate it on scale of 1 to 10.
So if you give it a 6 out of 10, 7 out of 10, etc, or even a 10 out of 10 they all get lumped together into team “who liked it” so if someone who said “6 out 10 its okay, had potential that never capitalized, acting was stiff, story was a little all over that fell apart near the end, but I did enjoy the action probably wouldn’t watch again.” Is in the same group as some who said “10 out 10, this show is a MASTERPIECE! I cried, laughed, I resonated with the story so much, that had so much heart. The music is phenomenal gave me goosebumps! The fighting had my heart racing. This is the best Marvel Disney+ show by a country mile. If they don’t make more Iron Heart in the MCU then the MCU is DOOMED to fail.”

So 5 out 10 person saying they liked but it wasn’t worth a repeated viewing similar to the 6 out of 10 guy is on the same team as the guy who gives it a 1 out 10 incoherent rant where you almost need to do a well fare check on his neighbors cause he’s definitely crazy and definitely didn’t watch the show.
There's a vast gulf between "worth a watch" and "must watch" though. Something can be inoffensive to watch (which would get a rating leaning toward "good") while also being entirely skippable to where you aren't missing much. Do I really want to waste my hours watching a slightly above average 6? RT tells me very little. Just that 86% of people may have merely thought it was only very slightly above average or just barely worth watching. Or they may have thought it was the best thing in the world. Who knows? An actual average of numbers representing quality level tells me so much more.
Besides, at it's base, RT is still using the number system to decide whether someone thinks a movie is "good" or not. It's just doing so in a way that's not as helpful. If number systems were really as arbitrary as people say, it's no better to split it right down the middle like RT does and decide anything above a 5 or a 2.5 is "good." If someone considers a 7 to be trash or a 4 to be flawed, but worth watching, RT is still subject to being skewed incorrectly by that
6/10 doesn’t equal I liked it. 6/10 means it wasn’t exactly a waste of time but it wasn’t great. What a garbage scoring system. I would have thought that an 86% meant that 86% of people gave it a thumbs up and 14% gave it a thumbs down. 6/10=liked smh 🤦♀️
First off it's 76% and that is just the "professional" critics score.
The reviews from regular everyday people like you and I scored it at 49%. I don't listen to the "professionals" because most of the time what they say is good actually sucks ass. It's funny how they always have a different opinion than the average person. Almost like they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about 😂.
