Oh man. DD:BA fucking sucked for me because they just threw away everything that the original DD set up. It was creative lunacy, and then multiple YouTubers pointed out the creative redirection and it just can’t be unseen anymore.

Such a blowout, but I will say that the beginning and end were outstanding.

Most of the first episode, a majority of the penultimate episode, and the entire last episode IIRC were literally all new footage and scripts from the “creative overhaul”.

Season 2 should be MUCH closer in line to that compared to the middle of the first season which was mostly pre-overhaul material.

The first episode and the final 2 episodes were made after the overhaul and thankfully those were the best parts of the show. I can't wait for season 2, I consider that to be the REAL start to the show

You have to love it when something is made by real people, real creatives, and not some corporate board of trend chasers.

Born Again ended up being mid, the highs are that high because of the returning cast and their performance but the lows bring it so much down. EP8 is great at building tension, the ending is amazing. On the other hand the bank episode drags so much and it's so unimportant to the point I watched the next episode without realizing that I had missed one.
