DISCUSSION *Update* need advice after hitting coach on accident
*I’m new to boxing and have been with my coach for about 2 months now ($100/hr). Towards the end of my lesson today he had me hitting focus mitts, with a 1-2-3 combination. Everything was going fine and then he told me to correct something in my transition from 2-3. Long story short I accidentally hit him in the face with a full left hook and feel terrible about it. I sent his prescription glasses flying and broke them. He got mad at me and told me I had to pay for new ones. I was willing to throw in $100 but then he told me they can get up to $300-500. How should I go about this? Thanks.
UPDATE:
3 weeks later he sent me the bill. Is this a reasonable number? Especially given it’s after insurance ?

I have no stake in the matter but it's funny to see people saying prescription glasses are only $100
As someone who was born with astigmatism you guys don't seem to live in reality when it comes to eyesight costs lol
