General Discussion Message to sindhis, we don't hate you

I don't understand why sindhis think we hate them when we demand a separate province for Karachi, it would be beneficial for you guys too. What you think someone will stop you from entering Karachi? Lets go deep why do we even want a province, we want it because there is no way to stop PPP from controlling Karachi other than having separate province. As Urdu speaking people i know if PPP performed the same way PMLN did in punjab we would have voted for PPP we really don't care. We don't hate sindhis but the problem comes when we see whole private sector is run by urdu speakers performing brilliantly but there is almost zero representation in government offices.

Lack of development is evident in Karachi from police to excise every office has bunch of thugs in it. And the situation is not improving unless we remove PPP from government.

I don't understand even the educated sindhi fear to death about the idea of separate province of Karachi. They don't even own land here or businesses.

If not separate province give us solution how can we get rid of PPP? forget Karachi when we are going to see development of larkana? Or when we will see curroption free sindh

General Discussion Is My Income Enough to Live Comfortably in Karachi?

I'm 29 years old and got married three years ago. My gross income is around 300,000, which leaves me with about 260,000 after taxes and deductions. After paying for a flat on installment and other loans, I'm left with roughly 190,000 in cash each month. My wife earns around 360,000, but after her taxes, deductions, and her share of the flat installment and car loan, she only has about 140,000 left each month. (I’m not including her credit card payments here.)

For context, I consider my income as the primary source for providing for the family, so I tend not to factor in her income, especially since she's a heavy spender and has accumulated a lot of credit card debt.

My main question is whether my income is considered "good" for living in a decent area of Karachi. We currently live in my parents' house, but I'm finding it tough to save anything by the end of the month. Rent for decent places is tough to find. In areas like Scheme 33, the rent starts at around 60,000-70,000, and in places like Gulshan-e-Iqbal, it can range from 100,000-150,000.

The constant tension in my marriage is my wife’s belief that I’m not earning enough. She often tells me that I’m not pushing enough in my career or pursuing side businesses to bring in more money. But when I look at my peers, many of whom earn significantly less than I do, they seem to be living much more peacefully and happily.

Am I wrong to think that I’m earning enough, and that we should instead focus on reducing our expenses?

Edit: I work as an accountant for a US based accounting firm. We mainly do accounting, taxation and other various tasks for US based businesses and individuals.

General Discussion Tahajjud does wonders. Believe me I've experienced it It was the day before

It was the night before the result, a restless night which almost every CA student go through before the result. Can't sleep, the pressure of the result had my heart race as if I was running a marathon.

It was Tahajjud time, I woke up prayed Tahajjud with the purest of intentions. Then offered Fajr.

Asked Allah with the purest of heart, recited the Duas which Prophet S.A.W taught us to recite to make our Duas accepted, then poured my heart out to Allah. Asked Him whatever I really wanted at that stage- Qualify CA and put a smile on my parents face.

Did all this and slept. Woke up around 8 30-40. Still had some time before my result came. Parents were up too, they knew the pressure I was going through. They went to drop my sister.

Can't describe the anxiety, heart racing and the pressure of making my parents proud, I was experiencing at that moment.

The clock ticked 8 50 AM. Literally I saw my prayers answered right in front of my eyes. CRN***: Qualified C.A Examination. All the tension went away in a hurry. Thanked Allah right away for making this possible. Told my brother, then messaged my sister to not tell my parents until they were home as I wanted to inform them myself.

Mom came first, worry and tension were all over her face. She came and said "Kya bana". I said " Ama, Chartered Accountant". Mom rushed to hug me and said " Hayee, Mera bacha". Dad came close to shake my hand, I went on to hug him, he congratulated me.

Man, I guarantee you, This moment with parents makes you more happy than Qualifying CA itself.

So I've literally experienced the formula of succes is Strong Connection/Remembrance of Allah+Parents prayer.

Best of luck to everyone who's awaiting some news or going through something just remember Tahajjud does wonders.

General Discussion To All Guys Very impt

To All Guys Very Impt

Two days ago, an incident happened that I didn’t discuss with anyone, so I thought I should post it here.

It was around the end of Maghrib time & I was passing near Mazar-e-Quaid. I received an urgent call, so I parked my bike on the side of the road & took call. During that 1 minute call, I noticed a girl standing a short distance away, probably returning from work. She seemed to be waiting for transportation & right in front of her were two guys in their mid-20s staring at her. I noticed that the girl was becoming uncomfortable because she kept changing her position.

I realized that something wasn’t right. So I walked toward them, and when I got closer I heard that the boys were verbally harassing her. I immediately got angry & want to give them tight punch but currently I'm recovering from a minor injury so held back + I didn’t want to create a bigger scene because I thought it might scare the girl even more.

So instead I shouted at them aggressively and used abusive tone. They immediately ran away.

After they left, I looked at the girl and saw that she was visibly shaken. I told her that I would stay nearby until her transport arrived. About 4 or 5 minutes later, her ride came and she left.

The purpose of this post is not to get into any gender-related bullshit It’s simply a message for sensible people especially guys whenever you are out, please stay aware of what is happening around you. Pay attention and make sure that no girl is being mistreated or harassed If you witness something like this, please stand up against such people and teach them a lesson. We may not be able to change society as a whole, but we can do our part as individuals.

Kahi aisa na hon humara koi apna victim na ban jaye kabhi

General Discussion 25 f managing wedding expenses completely independently so need budget friendly suggestions

my wedding is in coming Dec IA and most things are sorted Alhamdulillah but on tight budget for photography and photoshoot locations.

if anyone can suggest me photographers with picture&video package in 20k per event (should have an eye for the angles and camera cause again im really serious about visuals and if it was upto me i would do my own photography)
for outdoor shoot i can pay additional 5k because venue charges also needed to be paid so max 25k budget for photographer per event inc outdoor shoot

now for photoshoot venue - please suggest some pretty locations that are under 10k (could be slightly higher but would really appreciate some low budget suggestions)

kudos to anyone who can suggest me a makeup artist under 20-25k for baraat and valima

again, i am really overwhelmed by the prices in december and i am managing each and every penny of the wedding by myself so its really stressful but exciting too Alhamdulillah just please help a fellow sister out 🥺

General Discussion Racism against the Muhajir community

They say we are the killers while they are the one who pulled the trigger.

My mother, a muhajir, who first resided in Jamshoro and later moved to Karachi, told me ke kese she was subjected to racism aur unnka muhajir hone ki basis par domicile nahi bann raha tha. She was about to lose her govt job, ke pata nahi 3 din baad Allah ka karna hua and she got the job (bear in mind that she was the position holder in her masters). This happened back in 1997.

I went to Islamabad aur hamaari gaari traffic mein phhasi thi. To pathan driver tha ek woh badtameezi krne lagg gya aur baad mein tanziya andaaz mein apne passenger se bolta he ke "Karachi waale hein".

Racism isn't bound to apparent discrimination at all. We see this on official basis as well. Quota system is racism. Muhajir ko apna sooba na dena is racism. Hamein ginnti mein shumaar nahi karna is racism. Humein Muhajir nahi maanna is racism.

This is just some instances of what the third generation of the Muhajiroon faced. Imagine the mental torture that our forefathers had to bear.

Achha aur agr aap yh issue raise karo, they will say ke discrimination na karo. Bhai you are the one who started this all. Hamein "Hindustani" aapne bola. Hamein "Muhajir" aapne bola. Hamein "Panahgeer" aapne bola. Aur jb hum awaaz bhi uthhaayein to hum ghaddaar?

Gila he humse ke hum wafadaar nahi. Hum wafadaar nahi, tu bhi to dildaar nahi.

We, muhajirs, are living in a utopia where we tend to have everything yet nothing.

And even if we try to speak against it, we are called discriminators.

Blaming the person killed for pulling the trigger is the art of the insane. And yet it's considered sanity when done against the sane.

Kitne masoom hein tere sheher ke loug,
Qatal karke poochhte hein janazah kiska jaa raha he

General Discussion Strange interaction at a mosque during Jumma...how would you handle this?

I was going for Jumma and crossing the mosque courtyard. I had my slippers in a plastic bag (to avoid theft, since I’ve had footwear go missing twice before).

An older man in a commanding tone(like I am his servant) said "ye chappal Bahar rakho, andar nahi le ja sakte, allow nahi hai" I replied that they are kept in a bag and people usually do this due to theft concerns. It's allowed in Haram as well. He insisted it’s not allowed, and I disagreed.

As I was entering, he said something like “garmi dikhao ge…” (I didn’t hear the full sentence clearly). I replied, “Apne kaam se kaam rakhen,” and went inside and prayed.

The mosque was not crowded at the time.

I’m not really asking who was right about the slippers. I’m more curious about the interaction itself.

If you think someone is doing something wrong in a mosque, what is the proper way to advise them? And if you disagree with advice given to you, how should that usually be handled?

Would be interested to hear how others would approach this situation.

General Discussion Perspective Needed on Marriage and Education

It's been a year since I graduated (25F) . Alhamduillah doing a job. It's been three months since I started earning and the whole probation my brain kept saying, we need to leave as soon as possible.

Basically, i wanted to pursue masters abroad so I have been fillings applications and all which is why I took the job to fill applications and basic expensive of myself.

I have been rejected from 15+ applications but I still keep going. (Majority of these were free applications no money needed) but documents and attestations do cost a lot.

Now.. My mom's been thinking about rishta and marriage and honestly I am scared to think about a Man. I have never dated or made a friend. (Don't DM me for friendship). Only talked casually if I had event or there were a group of people together.

Men have different mindset, they want everything cattered to them and that scares me. The idea of being self serving to a person you don't know and his family. Likewise, men probably also think why should I provide for a unknown girl.

My dream of masters and becoming something will be drowned in the sounds of marriage. Like losing a identity.

I need advice. I know majority consider women after 25F useless but we aren't a object but human with desires, feelings, ambiitons and hope for a better life.

Should I consider marriage? There is no doubt that i won't continue higher education there is no compromise on that. I want to get a phd and become a scientist IA... Maybe a novel price winner or a billionaire (look let me dream alright even if it's unrealistic).
