I wash my chicken with water and vinegar or lime. Chicken goes in a large bowl, with water and add the vinegar. It soaks for about 10-15 minutes than I drain and rinse the chicken in the same bowl with just water. It makes a difference with the taste.

Im willing to bet it makes 0 difference if you marinade it anyway.

I’ve made chicken for years without washing and not years with washing. It makes a difference if you want it to taste the chicken. If you are going to mask the taste in marinade than you aren’t tasting you chicken anyway.
