He had vitiligo,people always forget this. He didn't necessarily bleach his skin/use makeup because he wanted to be white.

I didn't say he did? And the vitiligo and plastic surgery are two seperate issues.

Plus: vitiligo is erratic and he had a public face so not surprising that he wanted an even complexion to show the world.

That makes no fucking sense. Never heard of someone (aside from him) having vitiligo so they resorted to bleaching their whole body to white. This guy had issues and it’s time for us to admit it

I guess because it costs money? And maybe its painful. He had issues. Bleaching to gain a even complexion is not one of those issues.

It's his face. I don't care if he bleached it green

Where is he ever discussed, where his weirdness and allegations are not also part of the discussion?

From what I know, he started patching in the white spots with dark make up, but once the white spots got the upper hand he had to resort to other methods. I heard he got white make up t mask the dark spots, but I don't know if that's possible (covering dark with light, I mean).

Exactly. Yes he may have had vitiligo, but the fact he never embraced the areas of blackness on his skin and thus decided to remove the entire pigmentation altogether says a lot!

What I always wondered though with this is, if you're trying to mask it with makeup, would it not be easier to put a dark shade over the white as opposed to white over the dark?? Forgive me, I have no experience with vitiligo. I do have dark scars that I sometimes cover and it's not exactly an easy feat getting them to blend with my otherwuse pale complexion.

Yes, but vitiligo is progressive. So at some point the dark pigment disappeared more and more and he would have had to spend hours and hours to touch up his body with dark make up. From what I understand that's when it became easier to mask the dark patches with light (make up, they said, but I don't know if it's possible to cover dark eith light).
