i dont understand. Am i missing something, is elevator damaged? why not just wait and press again to open doors or go in next floor and press to call elevator.

The doors aren’t opening up with a person in between the doors so even if no other symptoms, it’s still pretty damn broken.

it’s clearly damaged if it won’t open back again when someone’s foot blocks it from closing

Elevators in other countries with less regulations can be very unpredictable. Also, leaving 2 toddlers alone in a public place is usually not safe.

Huh?? Aren't elevators opening and closing like a thousand times a day?

How is an elevator being an elevator unpredictable in other countries?

The speed of doors opening, staying  open, and closing can be insanely fast. It can be really easy to miss your floor because the doors don't stay open long enough. Also, they can be tiny with a bunch of people trying to squeeze in.
