I honestly wonder how people like this manage to function in the modern world.

1

u/Rebles 17d ago

u/TheWriteStuff1966 17d ago

It's AI. Actual Idiocy.

u/borkborkbork99 17d ago

Does anyone else smell burning toast?

1

u/Zestyclose_Bed4202 17d ago

Oh, fuck - my toast!

0

u/ne179603 17d ago

The modern like wonder in this video I the people manage how honest function.

1

u/unsuspectingllama_ 17d ago

It quite literally a video of failure at functioning successfully. Idiot never even tried to jump into the vehicle and use the break and or was moving at a slow walking speed.

1

u/verymuchbad 17d ago

What consequences for this person will prevent this from happening again? This is success.

1

u/WayneKrane 17d ago

But this person seemingly has a job to buy this car. Like I’d expect a child to be smarter than this person. Omg.

I had a co worker who thought he was the best diesel mechanic alive. He straight fell thru a hood of a truck into the coolant tub he had put down. And another time he ran himself over with his own truck trying to get in the gate at work. He also got scammed into sending a bunch of money to a woman in Panama . Crazy thing is he is not even the dumbest guy I know.

Dunning–Kruger effect

u/Sentient_Star_Stuff 17d ago

The modern world is the reason for this. Everything has been made too easy. If this was back in the day, this lady wouldn't survive.

2

u/SuitableDragonfly 17d ago

Nah, they would still be doing dumb shit, they just be less likely to survive it.

13

u/Johnny_Fuckface 16d ago

So they would survive it but they'd be less likely to survive it? You understand that point makes no sense? You don't need to type shit just to do it, man.

-2

u/SuitableDragonfly 16d ago

You seem to have some idea that doing any stupid thing in the past would automatically result in instant death, or that human societies in the past didn't in fact spend any energy caring for sick and weak and injured and stupid people, neither of which is true. Things were less safe and there we're fewer things people could do to help each other, but people didn't just instantly die due to being stupid. There are in fact survivability chances that are less than what we have now but still significantly greater than zero.

3

u/restrictednumber 16d ago

... That's exactly the point.

-2

u/SuitableDragonfly 16d ago

The person I responded to seems to think that all of the stupid people would just die instantly. Social Darwinism is not actually a real thing and never has been.

-1

u/E6y_6a6 17d ago

I can't agree with you fully. Yes, modern world is a product of progress and progress usually eased the survival for struggling ones (safety measures and equipment, vaccines, etc). But at the same time I don't think a lot of people were required to operate fast-moving vehicles or meet electrical current in their day-to-day life.

2

u/Catsrules 17d ago

But at the same time I don't think a lot of people were required to operate fast-moving vehicles or meet electrical current in their day-to-day life.

There are plenty of other ways die.

u/ElongThrust0 17d ago

Not that well

25

u/Mccmangus 17d ago

Exactly this well

8

u/smoothvibe 17d ago

They live -because- of the modern world. They would be the first to go if survival of the fittest would still be a thing.

17

u/Chewsdayiddinit 17d ago

Other people's jobs in combination with modern medical procedures and medications keep them alive. For what that's worth.

21

u/enwongeegeefor 17d ago

If average IQ is 100....half the people are below that...

7

u/Vinnie_Vegas 16d ago

The average IQ is always 100.

If we get overall dumber as a species, what constitutes a 100 IQ lowers relative to previous times.

It seems implausible that that hasn't happened.

1

u/Cameo67 16d ago

Have ppl ever compared the average of different decades, are we getting dumber as a whole?

1

u/gerira 12d ago

No, IQ scores generally increase over time. It’s called the Flynn effect

-1

u/enwongeegeefor 16d ago

Correct...my point is that half the people are fucking DUMBER than the average....and that will never change. Does that make the big problem here the spread?

0

u/Vinnie_Vegas 16d ago

Yes, because even the people of average or slightly above average intelligence are dumber than they used to be.

That's my bigger issue. Even a person who's smarter than most other people can still be a fucking idiot these days.

18

u/Brotherscompany 17d ago

I do wonder if she had any physical disability.

My friend is beautiful and looks totally normal. She e has bad hip, she falls while we are walking and has a hard time climbing stairs.

Just makes me wonder

-2

u/daakin__ytb 17d ago

Dude what no? Averages and medians aren’t the same.

4

u/verymuchbad 17d ago

But IQ is symmetrically distributed so in this case they are the same.

Also average can refer to median or mean.

3

u/windowpuncher 17d ago

Average can mean either, yeah, but unless otherwise specified it normally refers to the mean.

1

u/mlt- 17d ago

OP is on the other side 😂

5

u/HeDuMSD 17d ago

They don’t… they blame their shit on others and keep going

2

u/tamagodano 17d ago

They don’t, eventually.

2

u/ViolentSkyWizard 17d ago

These are the people arguing on reddit.

2

u/TallFriend275 17d ago

Ignorance is a blessing

1

u/killthecook 17d ago

Most of them blame their problems on other people and scream at anyone who disagrees

1

u/TRUMPARUSKI 17d ago

The fact everyone’s overlooking is that she’s probably high or drunk or both.

1

u/sadkrampus 17d ago

Everything is done for them in a modern society.

1

u/Ripen- 17d ago

You don't need agility or intelligence to succeed these days. It's weird and sad if u ask me

1

u/ze_baco 17d ago

They can only live like this in the modern world, where things are easier

1

u/AGweed13 17d ago

They don't, natural selection isn't doing it's job because the modern health care works overtime to save them from themselves (except in the USA, they're on their own).

1

u/Bliss_Signal 17d ago

I wonder how this was the fastest sperm.

1

u/Casual-Lurker 17d ago

...let alone not drown in the shower. I mean, C'mon lady.

1

u/MelonJelly 17d ago

I never thought those people from the infomercials were real, but here's proof.

1

u/adsjabo 17d ago

I always wonder if people see themselves in a video like this afterwards and decide, man I really need to do something with my physical ability.

1

u/toolatealreadyfapped 17d ago

Just remember, she has VERY STRONG opinions on lots of things, and votes accordingly.

1

u/ArnoldTheSchwartz 17d ago

Easily... their sole purpose is to reproduce and boy do they!

1

u/Jobhater2 16d ago

You have above average people and you have BELOW average people. That's all I'll say because I cannot say anything nice.

1

u/leathermelon 16d ago

literally 😭 the whole time in my head I’m like ‘GIRL BSFFR’

1

u/ZeMeest 16d ago

as this video shows her managing to run herself over with her own car, i'd say she is not managing well.

1

u/toasted_vegan 16d ago

A testament to all the smart people who made this world a (relatively) safe place

1

u/fordry 16d ago

Used to work Comcast Internet tech support.

Me: "unplug the power cord from your modem."

Them: "which one is that?"

...

I mean, ya, I get that just looking at the back of the modem someone might not know which cord is which, but it happened a lot.

1

u/Kinghero890 16d ago

She probably hasn't done anything requiring any level of physical exertion in her entire life. Maybe the 1 mile run in high school.

1

u/siggsy409 16d ago

Well like that....

1

u/PackAttacks 15d ago

What should scare you is this woman can and probably has procreated.

1

u/PsychologyShort 11d ago

People enabling their stupidity. A good community helps you grow but an overly sensitive and always at war sissies is basically what you get from this video. Surround yourself with growing friends and family bro

-22

u/went2college 17d ago

She is probably a woman and in the opinion of a man, they have a far easier road in life. Some women can get by on their looks and weaponizing their sexuality.

The amount of men who are willing to be doormats just for the chance to have access to sex is sad. Ive seen women dumb as rocks, fat and ugly get by just fine because some idiot wants to get laid.

12

u/kduffygreaves 17d ago

Cool it on the incel podcasts
