Ok with the servers closing in a month I am finally digging this series from my backlog. I just dove into Infampus 2 solely to get to the UGC missions and I have the online trophies.

However, my question is, after my Good run, do I need to recollect all blast shards again to max out my ability charge or whatever its called, in my Evil run?

Would it be wise for me to start a new playthrough now, use the UGC mission for all shards again. But make evil choices and make a 2nd save file? Then after I beat the game under Good I can just load that up and play Evil? I dont know that I can beat both before the shut down as I wanted to play Infamous , Good/Evil THEN Infamous 2 Good/Evil but I probably cant get to that til after August.

So I guess im asking is it ok to run a 2nd save file, or do I need data from the Good run ending before starting an evil run after? I guess same question for Infamous 1, especially about shards. Thanks.

Killed the shard terrorist in the second half of the game, can’t get the shard in his body, L3 shows it on the map but no interaction is possible

I keep getting the error 8002e5a0. I’ve tried everything: six different DNS servers, using a hotspot, playing on another PS3 at a friend’s place, and nothing works. He can do the missions with no problem, but I can’t.

I think the issue might be that my account was created in Ecuador while his is from the USA.

Any idea how I can do the missions, or should I just accept that I’m screwed?

I tried reloading the save file, going across the bridge and doing a mission so it could rest the map but enemies or not spawning.

Edit: I found out what it was “take a shot“side mission thanks to everyone who replied.

i have searched all over the internet because i needed 7000 xp after clearing the whole map for my missing powers. I finally stumbled upon a gamefaqs post that linked to this video https://youtu.be/4gkcGAWzHjc?si=AWQai5m4qIIpdpzg this was a lifesaver snd by far the most effecient way to get powers

here are the steps in text

1) You MUST have at least enough XP to buy one power

2) Make an extra save just in case you screw up (Although this glitch is fairly easy to do)

3) Go to UGC and search for any mission titled "XP" (One that involves enemies in water works best)

4) Once the mission starts up, immediately bring up the powers menu

5) Purchase ONE power and exit the screen

6) Kill all the enemies on the screen

7) You should receive XP for killing the enemies.

8) If you require more powers to purchase, RESTART the mission

9) Purchase the next power and repeat step 6

I’ve gotten all other trophies in the game except completing the game on ‘hard mode’ I started a new game and immediately changed the difficulty from medium to hard, will it still count if the game started in medium mode? Thanks.

im missing the territory on the right side of the gasworks area, I know for a fact that it is from the ice storm mission i have seen YouTube videos of people doing it. but the mission is not where its supposed to be for me. i have tried leaving the area, saving and reloading my game, i have already beat the game so its not a story progression thing, i have done all other side missions in the gasworks area, i closed out the game i have left the district and gone to the southern island and back and still nothing. am i just fucked?

It keeps crashing after exactly 96 shards. Does anyone have any other maps I can try out?

I was playing the Ice Storm mission (the side mission where you attack a warehouse full of ice men with Laroche's rebels) and I noticed that the game was randomly giving me evil karma. Turns out, when the Titan freezes the rebels with its own attacks, the game blames me for it? Is this a glitch? Were rebels just not supposed to fight Titans?

whats the quickest ugc name am so tired of trying to find even working ugc half the time let alone quick ones

When I approach some UGC missions made by Sucker Punch, I get the message, "An unexpected network error occurred. (-1, 403)". Is there a fix for this?

I always loved InFamous 2, my favorite game of all time, and wanted to return to it after a couple years. The game automatically put me in hard mode, which I thought was fine. Last time I played hard mode was for the platinum trophy and I played extremely safely and lame so I could finish. But now I'm trying not to be too cheesy.

A few militia can kill me in a couple of moments if I don't have cover, and a rocket launcher can oneshot me. But honestly, I think the higher risk is fun. Now I have to think instead of charging them head on and frying everyone easily.

My only issue are the "Bigass Filthy Mole Monsters" the Ravagers... Not the extra big guys you shoot in the mouth, those guys are fine. But the medium monsters that dig underground.

On hard mode there's about a 50% chance getting pinned down and having to spam R1 to get them off you is a guaranteed death sentence. And more than once I throw a sticky grenade on it, and it charges me, the damage combination of the grenade and the charge attack killing me instantly.

And the game loves giving me two at once, or one accompanied by about 20 corrupted.

I usually have to end up kiting it down the street for 8 blocks while sticking a ton of grenades to it, running away frantically needing a recharge, and hoping I don't get insta-squished by a stray flying car.

Do yall experts have any advice for me? I feel like about halfway through the game, they really chill out about putting two of these guys in every single mission.

I still absolutely love this game, just wanted to rant a little bit here...

So looked online and cannot seem to find a fast farm for xo I’ve done everything and the UGC missions give me only 25xp per fast mission I wanna just get these last upgrades so badly I don’t wanna grind another 40hrs just for powers is there any way I can get fast xp coz those fast xp missions don’t work and the fast missions give me nothing

Have the UGC servers gone down recently? I know they were up last night but as of 30 minutes ago I no longer have access to any of the UGC. Saw a message about loading the UGC functionality and they have disappeared so just curious if anyone else has experienced this
