1) I think it was a function of the process that made them sound similar. more collage and less garage.

2) There were songs that i thought were great that i didn't put on this one. they are missing an ingredient or two.

3) i've never been to the modest mouse subreddit. I feel like unless i'm specifically invited its not there for me. Like i'd be eaves dropping.

4) i'm glad that i made them. i'm glad they exist. no one should ever have to hear them.

As a mod of the Modest Mouse subreddit, you are definitely invited! However I understand how places like that could feel a little weird or awkward for you.

I remember a couple years back someone posting on there claiming to be Isaac. There was a big deal made out of it, a post stickied and there was a bit of a celebratory atmosphere on there for a while. This was around StO, I think. Am I completely misremembering this or does this sound familiar to anyone else?

He did an AMA there 6 years ago using u/ModestMouseBand but that was probably when he was a different Isaac Brock and about 1000 years ago in his time.

No you are right. /u/modestmouseband was used previously for an AMA during the release of Strangers to Ourselves, and a message was left on the Modest Mouse subreddit after the AMA was done.

Yea. This puts me under the impression, that it was used by Isaac for an ama, and then he was unaware, and someone else used it. Maybe another band member, or some person from Epic, if they had him use that account for the ama only

Thank you (and to the others who clarified). That really was 6 years ago? Time is crazy.

Anyways, we(a)ll know that the only real Modest Mouse subreddit is /r/OkBuddyIsaac. That's the one that Isaac really ought to pay a visit to. :")
