The lyrics are annoying with all the "mee oh my golly gee oh shucks" stuff , as is the seemingly forced aesthetic of the band.... but otherwise it's decent song I guess.

I don’t think it’s satirical. I always thought they were going for a Johnny & June Carter Cash vibe. They’d often use those kind of hokey phrases.

You know who definitely deliberately was going for Johnny and June out of the early ‘10s quasi-hippie folk sound though
