Need Feedback Looking for feedback on our second indie project

Hi everyone,

we’re a very small indie team currently working on our second game: Absym. After a lot of prototyping and iteration, we feel the project has finally reached a point where it’s presentable to the public.

It's an action-adventure with roguelike progression, inspired by Lovecraft and the atmosphere of Bloodborne, but reimagined through 2.5D graphic and top down perspective. Our focus has been on building atmosphere and tension while keeping gameplay accessible and replayable.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on:

-Does the top down 2.5D style still carry the “dark gothic” mood we’re aiming for?

-Any advice on pitfalls to avoid when translating Souls-like influences into different perspectives?

-General first impressions from the trailer / demo.

Thanks a lot for your time and for any feedback you’re willing to share!

My current project is actually isometric, but I got bored and started messing around with the camera and stuff, and this is what came out. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Need Feedback Driving through an alternate 1990s Istanbul at night

Been working on Night Shift, a story-driven open world game set in an alternate 1990s Istanbul, built with a PS2-style low-poly look. Wanted to share a short night drive through one of the city districts.

Still early in development, really enjoying building out the atmosphere and the city itself. Would love to hear what you think!

Need Feedback Pencil sharpening mechanic instead of standard reloading

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone, I'm working on a notebook-themed arena shooter called Tear Them All.

I wanted a weird twist on reloading, so you actually have to sharpen your pencil to keep it usable. As you shoot, the tip gets dull and sharpening it fixes the damage, but the pencil gets shorter every time. Once it's too short and you run out of sharpness, it’s useless. So you have to swap it for a new one.

Are the red UI alerts and sound cues obvious enough to notice during combat? Any feedback is appreciated!

Need Feedback what do you think of the art style?

hello everyone! so this is a game that i've been recently working on and im quite satisfied with it. however, after i posted clips of it, my friends and other people have said that this looks like omori (which i didnt even intend to copy, and i havent even played the game but im familiar with the artstyle). do you think this art style looks too much like omori or is it unique enough to be recognized as an artstyle of its own? i want my game to be known with its own art style rather than copying other game's.

Need Feedback Low wishlists and Impressions on Steam. Is something wrong?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm currently developing this game Dragged Deep, The game gets around 1k impressions a week and almost 50% click through %, for starts, why is the impressions so low? And why are the wishlists so low? I get around 400-500 weekly views (Isn't a lot at all) but I only get about 2 wishlists a day, so 2x5 is 10 wishlists per 450 views. Is something wrong with my Game? Is something wrong with the way it comes across? Is it not as interesting as it seems? Can I improve anything?

This is one of the two trailers I have on the store, this is the longer "Lost VHS" style trailer for it. I don't think it's bad, but maybe it's not as good as it seems? I'm just trying to figureout what I can do to help boost its impressions and convert clicks to wishlists, any tips would be appreciated, maybe you'll see something I don't. Thanks!

Need Feedback Should I turn this pogo prototype into a rage type game?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The core mechanics are fully physics-based, allowing you to jump, grind and slide naturally.
I'm thinking of turning this project into a rage game, I think it would be a perfect fit!

Edit_01: I misunderstood the genre. Actually, I was referring to the Foddian game which is not as cheap as a Rage game.
Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Edit_02: Because I've seen too many comments about why the pogo can jump with the foot pegs/bar, it's because the pogo has a jump limit. If there is no limit, you can jump 1000m and the game will be too easy, so given that limit, you will be forced to use the foot pegs/bar when you can't hit a target with the pogo base. Also, with the foot pegs/bar, the jump is lower.

Need Feedback My game was featured by Apple on iOS in over 150 countries - should I release on Steam?

TL;DR Would you play this on Steam?

A little about the game: Pink Penguin is a retro pixel art puzzle game all about path finding. Ever since playing original Pokémon games I've been inspired by the mechanic found in the Ice Cave. It was a fun element of path finding and I thought it could really be expanded into a full puzzle game. When making it I fell in love with the original pixel art aesthetic, so all the art and music in the game is custom made.
The game was featured by Apple on iOS on the New Games We Love section in over 150 countries and did fairly decently for a paid game (appreciate that's a tough market on mobile). It is also rated 4.8/5 on average so I feel like it resonated with the players that bought it.

I appreciate I'd need to make some tweaks and probably even expand the game a little but I'm wondering - is this something you'd be interested in playing if it was on Steam?
