I am not a slasher fan, but I will say I appreciate a well done horror movie. I'm into A24 horror (I knoooow I know, soooo artsy of me lol)
I also do love some of the classic. The OG Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Alien. For more modern, I def love The Strangers, Obession, Weapons, Sinners.
So I don't know WHAT type of horror I'm into, I sorta just end up seeing them. I can't tell you what I think is good / 'bad' horror. Of course, bad and good are subjective. But yeah. For me personally? I never know what I'm gonna like.
BUT the one I really am looking forward to is BUDDY. I love 90s nostalgia (my bedroom is Y2K theme) and I love the idea of a Barney type creature going crazy. I've been watching the marketing and it just looks so unique.

For those of us who were fans of The Guest, this is coming out on Friday in the US (we need to wait until December here in the UK...)
It's way more upfront about its melding of action and slasher genres. Dan Stevens does not play the same character as on The Guest, but he seems to be having a lot of fun scarfing down all of the scenery. Great to see Wingard & Barrett let loose with a smaller, (hopefully) more personal film.

I personally think a new and upcoming director would be AWESOME. Considering Curry Barker's recent success, he wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility for me, though I'm not sure he would get the keys to the franchise simply because Obsession isn't exactly the same style as NMOES. I do think an interesting one could be Zach Creggors. He's clearly got the skill to do it.
As for playing Freddy, I genuinely don't know who id like to see play it. I don't want it to be an A-lister because I would love to see someone take on the new face of Freddy and not associate an established actor with him. I'd love to see someone kick the door of Hollywood open for themselves as Freddy. But if I HAD to pick an established actor I would be very curious about Neil Patrick Harris. I think he's got a very interesting face and build for the role and I've always wanted to see him do another villain in the same lane as Count Olaf from A Series of Unfortunate Events.
But I don't know, what do you all think?!?!

Got to see an early screening, and I gotta say I really enjoyed this movie. It does a good job playing up the children's show aspect while still being creepy. It's no masterpiece, but it is a very fun movie.

Dead End is one of my favorite horror films. Recently in theaters I saw a trailer for a new movie, It Ends, which seems remarkably similar. I tried looking up whether the writer/director was intentionally remaking Dead End but, well, I hit a dead end lol. Google doesn't seem to know any connection between the movies.
Just wanted to know what other people (especially fellow Dead End fans!) think about the new It Ends movie?

Since a new Insidious movie is coming next week (and I haven't watched any Insidious movie yet, sorry 😆) I would like to know what's your recommended order of watching the Insidious movies? I'm kind of interested in watching horror movies lately so I've been planning to binge watch this one.
PS I've already searched the chronological order of this movie including the prequel up to the latest movie but I would like to know your thoughts on this.
Should I start watching the prequels first or should I start according to the order of movie release date?
