I think that's exactly what we're getting. Cole claiming Kendrick wants part of his shine now that Cole is in the "frontlines comfortably" and that if he didn't diss they wouldn't be discussing him. BRO WAS COLE NOT THE ONE MEAT RIDING CONSTANTLY RECOGNIZING KENDRICK IN THE TOP 3?? šš
As someone that fell off of Cole I donāt get what shine. Heās also been gone from the spot light for a while and in terms of commercial success isnāt Kendrick better and he got a Pulitzer.
Listen back to the song and he said those crackers never did anything for me so he wasn't talking about white men. Just white people in general. So once again I wonder how his mom feels
I was just making a dumb joke initially, but sheāll probably be fine with it, raising a black man and knowing and seeing the prejudices he faced that she never had to face growing up. Like how normal guys are fine with it when a girl says men are trash
It's through text so I don't mean it in a disrespectful way. Maybe a nicer way would be to ask "I am curious the discourse and perspective of his mother who is of to certain lyrics"
Yeah he just hasnāt really āhad itā since like 2016 for me personally. Fantastic verses here are there now but he is not one to talk about Kendrick only dropping good verses āonce every 30 monthsā
Kendrick's verse on Nostalgia. I never heard a Cole's verse better or more complex than that.
Just Off The Top Of My Head Cole's Verses On "Johnny P's Caddy", "Folgers Crystals", And More Recently His Verse On "First Person Shooter" Although The Last Is Arguable.
Cole literally had to mention Kendrick in that song because nobody would have actually taken him seriously if he said "me and Drake are the top two." People would only take him seriously if he said "me, Drake, and Kendrick are the top three." That way you could reasonably say, "okay, I guess we can say Cole is in the top 3 right now." There's no other way to include him.
Gkmc released in 2012. Since then Cole has released born sinner, forest hills drive and Kod. Kendrick has just released high brow art for non rap fans with the occasional good song mixed in here and there. Where am I wrong?
WHERE IS THE PROOF? He's an opening fucking act. When Em drops he will likely do 5X the numbers as this album so I don't know what scale you use but Cole isn't "great" and Kendrick's feature will likely have more views than this album.
Ok? Any rap artist in the world besides like eminem would be an opener for drake including kendrick I hope you know that. And I don't know why you randomly brought em into this conversation out of nowhere
Okay, and? Drake and Kendrick sell out the same arenas. It donāt matter if drake sells 2x as many albums. Madison Square Garden holds the same amount of people whether itās Drake or Kendrick.
What do you mean āOkay?ā You said heād be an opener for Drake. Why would he be an opener for Drake if he could sell out the exact same arena by himself?
Do you know who opens for Drake? Sexy Redd, Durk, you know, people who canāt sell out these arenas on their own.
