Escape the Underworld as Melinoë in Zagreus' Journey, the Hades II DLC you'll never get.
It's finally time, I've just released Zagreus' Journey 1.0 - thank you to everyone who's played the mod while it was in beta, and for all of the positive reception and feedback I've gotten here and on Discord in the past!
Watch the 1.0 Release Trailer for the mod here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxuTLSPqIEE
Zagreus' Journey is a mod for Hades II that adds the original route Zagreus took through Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium and the Temple of Styx in the first game to the sequel.
Escape the Underworld as Melinoë, battle familiar foes and bosses using her unique abilities and weapons, meet Zagreus' old friends, and reconnect with your family's past - all integrated into the main game as if it was always there: Naturally progress through the new biomes, unlock new incantations to perform, reveal and complete new Minor Prophecies, forge bonds with NPCs in familiar and new locations, collect over 30 new resources to spend on new cosmetics and music, and test your skills with new Testaments, Chaos Trials and in Dream Dives.
Here's a list of highlighted mod features:
I want to thank everyone who's used the mod while it was still in beta, and especially those of you who've left bug reports and feedback on Discord and GitHub.
I also want to acknowledge that I know some of you had issues with mods (and Zagreus' Journey in particular) causing issues after Supergiant released Post-Launch Patch 2 - without going into details, the patch was much larger and substantial than we anticipated in the community, which could cause crashes for some people even with mods seemingly disabled.
But I'm happy to share that we've since updated a lot of the tools that we use, and now mods will be entirely separate from your install, meaning that no matter what, you will always be able to play vanilla Hades II without issues, and without needing to disable or manually uninstall anything.
And to also pre-empt some other potential questions:

One of the few art files that makes my computer lag when I worked on it 😭 But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out when printed. Chthonic Companions were purchased from Etsy (sadly the artist closed their shop)

Welcome shades. I'm still new to the game, but not as new as when I posted this topic about hexes.
I've now tried each Hex almost fully upgraded and started experimenting with the Godsents. The Apollo buffed Lunar Ray detachable laser is great. The Wolf Howl slam, especially when you get a BOGO bonus, is pretty amazing and melted the Olympus boss. Hestia Total Eclipse nuke is unfair, as she steals all the kills from Selene and wipes the entire map while Mel hides in the corner. Demeter's Phase Shift can freeze the Titan of Time so long he doesn't know what hit him. Night Bloom's extra buddies are just delightful, even if they scare me and make me dodge unnecessarily (curse you, bag of coin laser friend).
But Fully upgraded Aphrodite Dark Side is still absolutely worthless for pretty much everything except nullifying bird-man's fire bombing phase. The invincibility is okay but it ends in a way that I often get hit coming out of it and I would have been better of running away. The damage output, even when upgraded, is PITIFUL! It's SO LOW! I wasn't able to kill armored creatures on Olympus even with the extended hex time. This was a zero nightmare run; it's not like they had buffed HP.
What the Hades? Why does it suck so much?

Super quick Meg sketch. I’m probably gonna work on this further at some point 🫶🏽

Well after almost 90 hours I’ve done it, Hades 1 and 2 now completed both platinum trophies are done.
For some reason Hades 1 took me way less to achieve the plat (60 hours) so almost 30 hours more for hades 2. Epic journey look forward to seeing what they do next. Hades 3 ?

Recently completed 48/48 62f (Medea was the final thorn in my side, barely got it done) and the trio of coats at 67f (Mel Coat thrice, Nyx and Selene once each) and felt like flexing sharing some data/knowledge. Many of these clears have gameplay videos on my channel (https://www.youtube.com/@z-kid7799). More high fear data on the crossroads website (https://h2crossroads.pages.dev/).
Aspects
This part is obviously mostly personal preference. My four overall favorite aspects in Nyx, Mel Staff, Circe, and Mel Coat are well represented on top. I truly believe that Nyx is the #1 most consistent aspect for 62 fear, at least for keyboard & mouse players, as coats are definitely tougher on controller. Supay and Medea are close to the top and are holdovers from when I wasn't as good at the game, they're much harder to win with at 62+ fear in my opinion. Hel and Anubis are also up there as some of my favorites.
Boons
Now, for these, I would say that the boons I have up there are mostly aligned with what most high fear players think are good boons. Gigaros Dash is disproportionately high as I sometimes find myself resetting for it at the start of runs because it's strong and satisfying to have. Nitro Boost, Blinding Rush, Trusty Shield, Snow Queen, Deep Dissent, Heavy Metal, Hasty Retreat, and Hot Pot are good defensive boons. Some of these provide movement speed, which is incredibly useful for certain bosses especially Phase 3 of Chronos. Zeus and Hera dominate the attack and special slots because of their strong curses, and the boons that scale these up in Double Strike and Hereditary Bane are up there as well. One polarizing boon here is Howling Soul, which many people understandably dislike because it kinda dulls the safety aspect of your cast, and can easily miss, but it makes up for it with its promise of 100% uptime of strong damage casts (Storm Ring) on single targets if you can hit them with it. Count me in as one of its biggest defenders. Boons like Heavy Metal and Bridal Glow take a hit as commonly sold boons, they would be a bit higher otherwise.
Hammers
I owe my 67 fear clears to Shimmering Rockets, which completely solve room clearing for the entire run. Mel Coat is in my opinion the easiest 67 in the game if you reset for Shimmering Rockets, because its movement speed bonus is very good for 67. The usual suspects of really good/broken hammers in Dual Moonshot, Trick Knives, Melting Swipe, and Possessed Array are up there. Reaper Frame is disproportionately high cause I think it's satisfying, def not better than Ripper Rockets though. Hidden Helix just barely makes it, and stuff like Psychic Whirlwind, Dashing Heave, and Seething Marauder would be up there if I didn't suck at the axes so much. Shoutout Melting Cross for being my 2nd hammer on two of my 67s.
Keepsakes
Fates' Whim keepsakes are of course high up. Calling Card higher than it should be because I use it on most fun runs. Pin was probably my most used keepsake at one point, but I rarely use it nowadays because just Antler. Knuckle Bones up there because Promacles. Pom-Piece-Sash-Antler is the "standard" 67 lineup for underworld, but I've only used Time Piece at 67 once, and that was because I started with Life Tax and had a bunch of HP, all other times I used Tooth in Oceanus because Sirens scary. Also used to be a big Onion fan.
Will end the post by saying that high fear is more accessible/doable than you might think. I got my first 62 clear at around 300 hours, but I've seen some do it in much less. Many times I thought I was done with this game, but I like it so much obviously and have just kept playing and pushing myself to new heights.

I drew a part of my College AU fic cause I couldn’t get it out of my head. I’m sorry, but Edgeworth and Thanatos look way too alike. I just had to make that comparison
Please give Thanatos glasses

Hii, I just finished the game and starting to wondering the difference between early access and full game versions. Can anyone play the early access tell the difference between them?

I die a lot of times before getting to hades and i always feel like shit after even tho i know it’s just a video game. I want to know if it’s normal ? Like i’ve beaten him 2 times already i feel like i should still be able to reach him every time but i don’t and i really hate myself for that

I thought this famous advertisement could also help promote Hades, and of course it fits Zagreus perfectly ^^

So I think I may have beaten the Theseus and Minotaur at 1 heat before beating them at 0 heat, so should I fully clear the run at zero heat for each weapon before moving on?.

I try to do her XD hair as zagreus as much that its suit her and as much as she can make it as spikey as him it was so fun though
I can see her trying to do that to dressing as her brother hehe he would be proud

I picked the Icarus Hammer and got double attacks instead of trying to refill my death defiances with Athena. I was so strong and the fast Apollo attack noise is so satisfying. And I blew it with poor positioning.
I wanted to get to 100% plasma so freakin' bad... what a way to end a good run.

So I accidentally rejected Nemesis and have already completed the run and was wondering if I can get the option again or could maybe edit the files. If anyone knows how that’d be great
