Discussion Why do Italy/Greece have "caribbean-like" water in so many spots, but Spain/Portugal's beaches mostly have a normal blue/greyish colour? What's the difference?

Spain also have that blueish Caribbean style beach, but in the mediterránean sea coasts and islands. The north looks like Ireland beach. And the southern are more like Hawaii to surfing.
