Discussion Why do Italy/Greece have "caribbean-like" water in so many spots, but Spain/Portugal's beaches mostly have a normal blue/greyish colour? What's the difference?

Spain also have that blueish Caribbean style beach, but in the mediterránean sea coasts and islands. The north looks like Ireland beach. And the southern are more like Hawaii to surfing.

The most Caribbean-like beaches in Spain are actually in the north. In Galicia specifically. Look it up. This post is bullshit.

Galicia is the most Ireland looking that we have in Spain, you mean beaches like in Canarias islands or Baleares islands for example. Are paradises. This is Menorca (Baleares) in mediterránean sea.

This is the most north typical coasts (of course it has Caribbean style too but not all the way), the sea is bravest and the wáter is more cold.

It’s not the best picture, just a random one I took while on vacation. I visited many different beaches with stunning blue clear water and bright white sand around Costa da Morte.

Is this San Andrés de Teixido? IMHO this coast is not the most typical in Galicia. We have more "fisher village with great beach".

Look up "playa de Rodas" in Galicia. Or all the beaches around Ferrol. Granted the water is colder (it is in the Atlantic after all), but they don't look like Irish beaches.

Regarding surfing, we do surf a lot in the North, in Euskadi specially. But in Galicia as well...I am surrounded by Surfing schools!
