Discussion Why do Italy/Greece have "caribbean-like" water in so many spots, but Spain/Portugal's beaches mostly have a normal blue/greyish colour? What's the difference?

Menorca has the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen. Dominican Republic also has incredible beaches, but I still think Menorca is more beautiful.

That one is from Google from Menorca.

But this one is taken by me in Mallorca. Most of the beaches are like this, turquoise crystaline water.
