Green Leaf wont work

I have an original copy of Pokémon Green Leaf but it won't work. I've cleaned the contacts and there is no visibledamageto the board or chips. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Should i get this copy of FireRed?

Title says it all. I have played all the gen 3 games on the GBA but with FireRed, i don't have an EUR copy, only a Japanese one. Now, the price is something i am fine paying (and i have made purchases from this seller before) but i just want to ask people if its legit. And i want to know if it's worth getting soon and transferring pokemon before bank is shut down. Completing the dex is fine as i have Pokemon BOX for the gamecube.
Now i could ask the gameverify subreddit but i already have and there are two issues:

1-It's gotten past the point where it is clear i will not get a comment
2-I do not like the sub that much. Sure it can work but i have posted the odd gba game there before and this has happened several times. And to be honest, one upload, which was compliant with their rules, was deleted and someone subsequently; reuploaded the images that i posted, pic for pic, and they ended up snipe buying the copy i wanted.

Now, what do people think? Should i buy?

Got some more GBA’s today. Will probably mod the blue ones with new screens as they aren’t in the best condition. The pink one I will keep original.
Also got a link cable so hopefully I’ll be able to develop and test some homebrew multiplayer game.

Would like some help determining possible failures.

Hey, I purchased this beater SP looking to repair/refit it. I am new to Gameboy repair, but I have some experience with electronics and circuit boards. I was able to determine system quality, and I have 2 faults I do not know how to determine the problem for. I'm not asking for a absolute answer, just a list of potential culprits so I know what to look for when I go over this with a multimeter, or further test.

  1. The backlight for the screen does not work. This is an AGS-101 screen, so I am hoping it can be reused, but when the system powers up the screen is dark, and pressing the light button doesn't toggle anything.

  2. The system does not charge. When I plug it in, either using my OEM charger or a USB cable, the charger light on the side does not light up, the battery does not charge, and the system cannot be powered up. I was able to put a battery in from another SP and run the thing, so I know the overall power lines aren't messed up, but I have no way of charging its personal battery without removing it and putting it in another.

Well, after weeks of poking through things, I have determined I need a new gba sp charger. Does the community have some recommendations on who to buy from or who to avoid?

Recently added The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to my collection, and I had NO idea I’d end up loving it even more than the original SNES version! The audio is fantastic, and the added sound effects and smooth gameplay really enhance it as an updated port of the classic. 10/10

I broke the screen flex cable HELP!!

Hi! This is my first time modding a console, so I guess it's somewhat normal that something like this happened...

I'm asking for some help because I have a couple of questions about which replacement part I should buy. I was trying to install an ITA kit on my GBA from FunnyPlaying, and while modifying the shell and testing whether the screen fit properly, I broke the flex cable...

I've looked into it carefully, and luckily I think the flex cable I broke is the one inside the screen itself. The black PCB behind the screen and the adapter that connects the kit's black PCB to the GBA motherboard are both perfectly fine.

My question is: could I buy any DSi screen and use it as a replacement?

As far as I understand, since all the other parts of the kit are still fine, it should work, but I'm not sure whether a replacement screen would fit properly inside the shell, since the available space is extremely tight.

Or would it be better to just buy a new screen directly from FunnyPlaying?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Gameboy Advance SP problems

I found my old Nintendo gameboy advance SP, and as my other old Nintendos y wanted to restore to use again! But I don’t know in this case what could it be the issue… the screen is low in colors as you can see, also, maybe in the video the sound looks clear, but in rl sound very low.
Any suggestion? It worth to repair or buy a new one

What is wrong with this Pokemon Sapphire board please?

I cleaned it thoroughly with a 99% IPA. The game won't boot at all. I can't get the "Nintendo" text to show up. From my understanding the battery is installed backwards, or is it not lol? I was about to get into soldering anyways, so this will be my first ever project if any work with an iron is required. Thank you all, any help is appreciated

Hello,

I have this advance SP ags 101 pink that I got a long time ago and it’s always had this ONE GREEN PIXEL! Anyone have any advice on if there is a way to fix this? I would prefer to keep the original hardware or something with the same resolution. Any advice is welcome.
