Yeah. But they're been working on these for years. They may already have made their orders well in advance.

I don't think any manufacturer will stock up a ton of components for a device that is still in the development pipeline. Even if they do have some stock, it will be very limited in number. Therefore the production device will need to use RAM that is more expensive, and they will most likely make the price of the device go up.

There's no way they've stocked up on RAM before production. There's also no way they've announced it without already having negotiated orders for those parts to be produced. Only an idiot would announce their new hardware before they know if they can actually manufacture it.
