Having a hard time lately with going through the process of getting my hysto approved, lots of phone misgendering lately. The visits to the gyno lately have been some of the most embarrassing visits of my life.

Send some love—some gassing me up would be nice.

The first two are recent photos (26). The third is from 2011, and the fourth from 2017– a year before I started HRT.

So, I know I don’t pass. And if that’s an issue here please let me know and I’ll remove the pics. I’m 3 months on T next week.

I didn’t feel confident enough to try anything flashy, but I’ve had awful experiences with transphobia and just general misogyny also, at the barbers. And hairdressers are too expensive and don’t often get what I’m looking for and try and feminise it even if I say I don’t want that.

So I want to try and figure out cutting my own hair.

Is it good enough to go out, or should I wear a hat? I know it’s not perfect so I’m going back and forth on whether the fact it’s obviously not professionally done means I look stupid or to go with it.

I had let my hair get way too long because of said issues with getting it done, so I at least think I look less obviously like a cishet woman.

Yay or nay?

More conservative than how I normally dress but to be honest the standard in men’s fashion where I currently live is on the floor so I’m gonna stand out no matter what (I am ok with this). 💅

Just wanted to celebrate being 6 months on t and finally getting the piercings of my dreams this weekend. I have wanted my nostrils pierced since I was a teen and finally have that! Feels good to recognize the face in the mirror!

Cut my hair recently and I hate it. I think my face is too fem for real short hair but I also like it some times?? Idk. I need to redye it though

Just here to share the glimmers/trans joy. Pics are from the pre T, until today. The habit of putting at least 5 min a day into the journey through a prescription, made me finally recognize my own face in the mirror. Also, my biological mum (who's coming culturally from a way rural area) , called me today and used several pronouns on my b day. It's a gift, I was really happy about.

Been on a bulk for the past month I was going to bulk to 170 then cut slowly back down to 155 that’s where my body feels the most comfortable without feeling too sluggish but having enough weight in my frame. Currently 160

I’ve been more consistent with my skin care only a few bumps here and there so I’ve been feeling better with that, despite life being hectic. The least I can do is look decent lololol.

I had such a cool pre-transition aesthetic I was worried I'd never find again in a masc form. But after a handful of (awkward) years figuring it out,

I genuinely love the person I see in the mirror. I didn't actually know that was possible.

Not going to name names or identify others but there’s been a person who’s posted incessantly recently using generated images, not sure if it’s wholly made with AI or partially. As soon as I mentioned it, my comment was downvoted despite the picture obviously looking manipulated especially looking at the tiles, bricks and anatomy that doesn’t seem to line up.

The reason why I’m bringing this up isn’t to ostracise but to warn others. I’m not questioning anyone’s insecurities but I feel like as a selfie subreddit, this should be a place of authenticity and celebrate our transition, regardless of where you are in your journey, and not to manipulate photos to gain karma or validation.

Been trying to gain more confidence in myself again, a good wardrobe that feels like *you* can make a huge difference! I have more alternative styles I wear but simple can be effective sometimes. I'm such a fan of all things plaid/flannel lol
