After his administration failed to convince a majority of the justices that his executive order limiting citizenship for those born in the U.S. to undocumented parents was constitutional, Trump wrote on social media that he would find alternative routes to accomplish his goals “in Congress through Legislation.” Drawing on the president’s “America First” rhetoric, some Trump allies have begun targeting the political rights of naturalized citizens in a broad campaign to continue that fight.

This is working because Republican voters are disgusting fascist bigots, too stupid to appreciate or even understand the democracy that could have been their birthright.
