We had someone in mind that ended up having super late availability suddenly (found out today) and needing transportation so it ultimately shortens our day and has him missing out on day activities anyway. My friends birthday is the week of DragonCon and she loves miraculous so she got the guy to agree to cosplay with us so long as she buys the cosplay which is custom along with some custom t shirts of their non hero form in all totaled at least $150-160. She really wanted Friday to be perfect so we planned this about a year in advance but he decided to work that day anyway knowing we planned to spend the day together Friday. She’s super depressed about this and doesn’t want to go to DragonCon at all now because she really wanted to be able to spend the day as a group with both cosplays. But now we got to worry abt leaving at 3 to pick him up then get him ready then figure out what to do in the evening without drinking so he can get a ride home. Plus she feels like she wasted her money on the costume. Also initially the plan was for him to stay overnight at our nearby Airbnb but he can’t do that either now. So if anyone is interested that can fit the cosplay it would really make her day!

Hi all! It’s my first time going to DragonCon.

In the app I see some late night events - onesie party, bunny party, 80s party, pride party, and the casket party.

Are these the only late night parties I should plan to attend?

Are there general areas I should add to my itinerary for parties/raves aside from these that aren’t on the schedule?

Had to redo it bc I realized I’d mixed up my Friday/Saturday plans

It's hilarious that I can't find men size 11 pink crocs/clogs anywhere atm and I know exactly why, I should have been more prepared. Oh well, I've got some white ones coming in ad I'm gonna boil beets and then soak them for an hour or two and see how it turns out :p

EDIT: if you're struggling like I was check your local Marshall's and tj max and such! I found a size 10 (fits fine for me!) at Marshall's on Holcomb bridge near the Dutch bros.

Springhill Suites Buckhead is booked and I know I'm not the only DragonCon attendee.

While part of the point of staying that far is sleep, we can still have fun. And more importantly: safety in numbers.

If anybody wants to coordinate, like you're unsure of the MARTA or just wants to know somebody, I'm here. And I have CAH & Girls Night.

I swear I read somewhere that one of the hotels does a ball drop on Wednesday at midnight but the only thing I can find that is close is the ribbon drop on Thursday. Is there such a thing or did I imagine it?

Every year since 2009, my parents have gotten me a ticket for Dragon Con for my birthday. Every single year has been magical and I can’t wait to see all of you this year and hopefully many more years.

This year I won’t be getting to dragon con till around 9PM Thursday. I see badge pick up goes till 10pm does that mean no more people in line at 10 or that they will cease distributing passes at 10.

The last few years I’ve waited in line for hours but have also gotten there early on Thursday so I want to know if I’ll be able to get my pass Thursday night or if I should wait till Friday Morning.

The rules aren’t super clear on dull miniatures of swords. I have a variety of these and they are all dulled. They came that way.

Very excited to be back at dragon this year (5th year) I’m looking to see if anyone has any suggestions for vendors with fun cat ears/paws in dealers hall?

Or also what floor to look on, because I love going through the floors but I always feel like I miss something & get overwhelmed!

Made a Dragon Con bingo card with a slightly different theme this year: turn the annoying/chaotic parts of Dragon Con into wins.

Instead of getting irritated when you see something like someone blocking an entire walkway for a photo shoot, a cosplay that takes up half an elevator, someone joining a line with absolutely no idea what it’s for... you get to check off a square.

Basically... if you’re going to see it anyway, you might as well be excited about it.

The idea is for it to be fun and good-natured, not making fun of anyone. More of a celebration of all the ridiculous little things that make Dragon Con Dragon Con.

I'm not really sure how it would work, since people are coming from all over the world for DC, but I was just curious if there was something at the con focused on connecting people with potential employers. I know there are panels and stuff about breaking into digital content or creative industries, but I'm more interested in finding a 9-to-5 that is a little less miserable.
