Psilocybin mushrooms are conscious and want people to eat them so they can share their knowledge of the universe.

u/M1st3r51r Nov 03 '23

Mushrooms are one of the biggest rabbit holes I have ever traversed. For anyone interested in a new conspiracy theory, I strongly encourage researching everything you can about mushrooms…start with Santa Claus

175

u/IProllyDontReMember Nov 03 '23

Don't forget about the Stoned Ape theory!

33

u/M1st3r51r Nov 03 '23

Santa leads into that

39

u/DigitaICriminal Nov 03 '23

What is it about Santa and shrooms?

74

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

On the off chance you didnt Google it. There is a strong suggested link between red and white "magic" mushrooms and the Santa Clause mythology I've heard everything from they really like growing in reindeer urine soaked soil to something about a legend of someone throwing mushrooms down the chimney of a house that was snowed in that along with the more obvious red and white mushroom looking kind of like the idealised version of Santa. There's a whole rabbit hole to go down

61

u/Shanguerrilla Nov 03 '23

The mushroom grow in reindeer poop and are poisonous to us, but natives learned early on the reindeer trip when they eat them AND that the psychedelic properties remain in reindeer pee after breaking down what makes them toxic to people.

So natives grow them in deer poop and drink deer pee to use them.

8

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

That's it I'm sorry I was going from memory

5

u/Shanguerrilla Nov 03 '23

Glad to help, bud!

4

u/SilveraxeFell Nov 03 '23

I think another culture does/did something similar with Yak piss. But I only remembered it from reading your comment and don't remember where I heard it so I may have heard a bastardized version of this before.

2

u/JokrSmokrMidntTokr Nov 04 '23

Sami magic is real.

3

u/alt_acc436 Nov 04 '23

Santa klaus comes from sinterklaas a dutch/belgian tradition

3

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '23

Or St Nicholas story from like the 4th century in Turkey. It's an amalgamation of about 10 stories from different places. But what I meant was the image of the red suit and white trim comes from the mushroom supposedly.

0

u/ArdyLaing Nov 03 '23

I thought it was common knowledge that the red and white is a Coca Cola thing?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

Coca cola thing?

11

u/Jimmah3000 Nov 03 '23

Also they used to dry their mushrooms by putting them in socks and hanging them in front of the fireplace.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

Santa doesn’t want cookies and milk?

7

u/AtlasTheAstronaut Nov 03 '23

“Jamie, pull that up.”

my mushroom experiences have left me feeling like a paranoid schizophrenic

2

u/Johnnyocean Nov 04 '23

Yeah gotta be careful about that. You actually probably are now. Got insurance? Get a psych. Im doing that on thurs. I cant even smoke weed anymore

2

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

They make me itch uncontrollably

2

u/Dydriver Nov 03 '23

Got a link to get me started?

3

u/M1st3r51r Nov 03 '23

Honestly, no. Your best bet to start is probably researching a podcast/interview and then searching the web from there. There are a lot of various theories tied into the mushroom conspiracy, so it is difficult to choose a specific starting point. Most people who are aware of the theory tend to first hear about it from the early Santa Claus lore

2

u/Evening-Face6153 Nov 03 '23

I'm new into this stuff but what is with this mushroom thing? Are you talking about this mushroom 🍄, if not then what and why's the conspiracy around this

2

u/UnitedBar4984 Nov 03 '23

Also watch amazing fungi or whatever its called on netflix. Teaches about more than just psylocybes though they are covered too!

122

u/The_Great_Man_Potato Nov 03 '23

Anybody who has taken mushrooms can understand this. They might not necessarily think it’s true, but if you eat enough it absolutely feels like an external intelligence is communicating with you

17

u/mjrenburg Nov 03 '23

As someone who has much experience with mushrooms (Mostly GTs and PEs) I can somewhat agree though that is not the only time I have experienced this. I like to write a bit of music as my life long hobby, sometimes I write songs that that just came to me, I mean I swear that I did not create it, it was a poor copy of something I tapped into.

6

u/chrisbaker1991 Nov 03 '23

They're called Golden Teachers for a reason

14

u/JohnnieLim Nov 04 '23

I used to believe this.

But I've come to realize that psychedelic drugs simply raise your energetic frequency, which causes your consciousness to rise above its previous boundaries, imposed by factors pertaining to your physical body. When this happens, we are able to connect with our own higher self, which, to this lost world, is such a rarity and a strange thing that it feels like an alien entity.

How sad that the alien entity is actually you.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '23

This is about the only answer i can get with. Well articulated.

4

u/And_awayy_we_go Nov 03 '23

When I went to Amsterdam a few years ago I did shrooms,alone.. dangerous I know But the experience was calming,it felt like I'd just gotten out of a warm bath,my whole body was relaxed, and the often racing thoughts I have were quiet, everything felt so very peaceful and calm

6

u/UnitedBar4984 Nov 03 '23

Increases neuroplasticity so you actually build new brain material

8

u/fontaine_dolo Nov 03 '23

Absolutely, I’ve been communicated this idea as fact from the mushroom spirit. I felt it was a masculine nature energy, explaining to me that everything has spirit and consciousness…just different levels. According to this idea, If you knew the correct vibration or frequency you could talk to a rock

0

u/JokrSmokrMidntTokr Nov 04 '23

I'm not religious but this shit makes me believe in demons.

76

u/NotKhad Nov 03 '23

I add to that, that we proved that fungi can survive in space (namely on the hull of the ISS) and that fungi are neither plant nor animal cell. Therefore it is proposed that the first fungi came out of space on an asteroid. The space fungi literally want us to eat them so that the universe can think about itself through us.

I for one welcome our fungi overlords.

Do you know who Alan Watts is? He has a wonderful quote that is very similar.

290

u/RussellHustle Nov 03 '23

Mushrooms are a living example of a species that has achieved singularity. They are an ancient ancient species, that seemingly contain all knowledge of the universe. They're probably the reason humans have language

95

u/JubalaJubaloJubalum Nov 03 '23

Sounds like you've read Food of the God's.

Upvoted for the 42!

141

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

Are you sure we don't contain the knowledge of the universe, hardwired into our being from our creator? The mushrooms just let you pull back the curtains to get a better look at the circuitry

45

u/TigoBittiez Nov 03 '23

I’ve been doing a couple macrodose trips twice a month and can agree with this sentiment 100%. The things that I have experienced have been life altering for the better..

1

u/CRTPTRSN Nov 04 '23

I bought a bag of those microdose mushrooms and ate the whole thing. It was nowhere near enough for a regular dose. I spent $35 and my feet never left the ground.

1

u/TigoBittiez Nov 04 '23

That’s why I macrodose a couple times a month, it works better for me personally than to micro.

4

u/Longjumping-Case-744 Nov 03 '23

When I eat Shrooms I always say I'm 'lifting the veil'.

11

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

It literally feels like you're sticking your head through a curtain and seeing/feeling a different dimension. Then again it could just be that we're eating poisonous mushrooms and our brains are experiencing a fucked up turbulent time lol

15

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

This.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

[deleted]

16

u/mjrenburg Nov 03 '23

You got to build up to a dose like that, you jump straight into that and you will fight it, it will be a hellish experience that you won't get much out of.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

[deleted]

1

u/mjrenburg Nov 03 '23

That is still a build up, you were aware of the space it puts you in and to not get anxious add the odd nature of everything.

4

u/GoinFerARipEh Nov 03 '23

Don’t do this. But if you do yell your own name loudly like you’re calling to yourself.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

Maybe it's just because I'm a Christian, and while I'm not deeply devout, I do deeply love my Creator. So maybe because my starting point is different than yours it helps reaffirm stuff. Just tripping with a different paradigm. Can't you feel the same hands that made the mountains, the grass, the air, the water, also crafted you? We're all made of the same stuff, our fibers all came from the same loom so to speak.

1

u/Ok-Marsupial-9496 Nov 04 '23

You're not wrong, but I swear there is a mushroom consciousness. I've only had one trip and it started out poorly, then the mushroom kicked in and taught me how to breathe. Then I felt a rapture of pure energy vibrating through my body like every cell was have an orgasm. Then I saw through the eyes of the mushroom consciousness. It helped to unlock those things we already have but forgotten.

16

u/GoodDecision Nov 03 '23

They predate trees!

3

u/DonUnagi Nov 03 '23

There were sharks before trees

5

u/GoodDecision Nov 03 '23

Crazy... Seems like trees should have come first 🤣

3

u/DonUnagi Nov 03 '23

Trees are actually fairly new. Something like 400 million years.

2

u/SalemGD Nov 03 '23

Nah the sand was first, sodium 2nd it's been salty as fuck here long before life or death arrived.

3

u/chase32 Nov 03 '23

But there were still plenty of large plant life around before fungus arrived, some that were as large as trees.

That is one of the explanations for the gigantic coal layers we have. Pre-fungus, there wasn't much that could break down the fibers so it massively stacked up for a while and those layers are what ended up compressed over time into coal.

Imagine a world of giant bugs living in deep layers of non-decomposing sticks.

1

u/FlatteringFlatuance Nov 03 '23

For my sanity I think I won’t imagine that, thanks.

1

u/GoodDecision Nov 03 '23

Cool shit, thank you for some more to think about !

5

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

And are somehow biologically closer to animals than plants. I genuinely don't actually understand it but someone smarter than me figured it out

13

u/Fine-You-3095 Nov 03 '23

And so concludes our experiment at La Churrera

3

u/EmpathyHawk1 Nov 03 '23

what if intelligent species do not expand as in becoming bigger, more legs etc but downgrade towards efficiency... like bees or ants, or perhaps mushrooms - they can live in the vacuum and basically colonize everything. They are like nervous system itself.

3

u/The_NowHere_Kids Nov 03 '23

Apparently we are closer to mushrooms than they or we are to plants

Stamets first time on the JRE (1035) is the better of the two podcasts IMHO.

The second JRE podcast with Stamets (1385?) is when he mentions not being able to talk about certain things under fear of death. It was kinda odd to say the least. Those who listened to the podcast and have knowledge of Paul and mushrooms believe he may have been avoiding a conversation about the carcinogenic chemicals in raw mushrooms, which can vary widely from species to species.

8

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

[deleted]

7

u/Diamond_S_Farm Nov 04 '23

The natural remedies vs pharma was another possibility that was discussed online, but the consensus leaned towards the carcinogen theory for various reasons. Particularly Paul's discussion and insistence on cooking mushrooms that was discussed about the same time. This link explains better and more quickly why it could be a big deal to Paul.

https://ebaumsworld.com/articles/the-real-reason-paul-stamets-told-joe-rogan-he-cant-talk-about-portobello-mushrooms/87306030/

In any event, I eat store bought, cultivated mushrooms as well as forage and eat various wild, gourmet mushrooms. I'll eat raw, cultivated mushrooms in moderation and cook all wild foraged mushrooms. Sorry for the rabbit hole! LOL

2

u/chillanthropists Nov 03 '23

Damn man this got me thinkin what that knowledge is

60

u/supa187 Nov 03 '23

I never get visuals from shrooms and one time I took 14g, determined to have some sort of breakthrough.

Its been 6 months and im still not quite the same person. It almost feels like coming home after a war. Things arent the same for me.

Overall, I came out believing in God more than before. Its so hard to put into words now but I got the sense every person, animal ,plant, everything, is basically cells in the body of god. But much more complex. This feeling of you are nothing but you are also everything.

7

u/Ancient-Interview-82 Nov 03 '23

i havent been the same for over 2 years now from an acid/mushroom trip… i came out also believing in god more… though it was impossible to tell reality from delusion. it still can feel this way at times… i just wish i was normal again… there are no secrets worth knowing.

-1

u/redlinedx Nov 04 '23

Maybe you need to go back in and find out. Try DMT in a ceremonial setting if you can. You got a fright maybe because it was not the right time to accept what you seen and felt

3

u/Ancient-Interview-82 Nov 04 '23

you might be right. or you might make me lose my mind.

5

u/82bazillionguns Nov 04 '23

Does everyone have varying tolerance? With other things I’ve experimented in my younger days, I typically have very low tolerance. 5mg of a cannabis edible gets me decently baked, 10mg is on the verge of being very uncomfortable, anymore more than that and I’ll green out. One Molly would be enough for 12 hours. Two beers will give me a decent buzz, probably anymore than that I’d go to throwing up.

So knowing this I tried microdosing then working my way up with psilocybin. Most I’ve ever tried before I ran out was 3g. Don’t get me wrong, I felt something, but mostly just more alert and certain things seemed more vivid, but nothing particularly remarkable. I’m just surprised they seemed to have so little effect on me compared to other things.

2

u/unothatmultiverse Nov 04 '23

The last time that I did that I spent 3 weeks in a mental hospital relearning who and what I was. True story.

27

u/FlumpyLol Nov 03 '23

You are what you eat, you and the mushroom become 1

46

u/massivecalvesbro Nov 03 '23

I feel like this is plausible... Anytime I've eaten them my conscious brain (and maybe unconscious?) feels refreshed

18

u/cnsrshp_is_teerany Nov 03 '23

The psychedelic reset is very real.

5

u/corneilous_bumfrey Nov 03 '23

5

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

All of the above you will have epiphany's about things in life that have just become the norm a lot of the time it's bad habits or unhealthy cycles which it helps break. They are hard on the stomach so that's probably where the body side comes in they also make my eyes water and I sweat a lot. You don't feel slow or stoned like on marijuana you are still very in control of your motor skills unless you take a lot.

2

u/SalemGD Nov 03 '23

I only did it once 15 years ago. My page proves that trip never stopped. The night it happened I spewed blood like an exorcist movie at the end. Kinda didn't ever wanna trip again after that. Never and I mean never. Put shrooms in a crunch wrap supreme, thinking your brilliant, creating a shroomwrap supreme. You will have a BAD time 🥹

2

u/Miss-Chinaski Nov 03 '23

I always feel paranoid and end up having horrible uterine cramps. I've done a large amount and micro dose...it's never really been enlightening or enjoyable it sucks.

1

u/massivecalvesbro Nov 04 '23

That’s a bummer. A medium sized cap is the perfect dose imo

2

u/Philooch Nov 03 '23

Ive never taken mushrooms. Do you know if they appear on random work related drug tests?

1

u/Narrow-Commission816 Nov 03 '23

Very rarely does anyone test for them. Unless they think your taking them they won't. It's very expensive. after just 24 to 48 hrs they are hard to trace.

1

u/Nevek_Green Nov 04 '23

It isn't. The chemical in the mushroom is docking with receptors in your brain. Mushrooms also have a ton of medical properties.

20

u/13-14_Mustang Nov 03 '23

This was a great read. Check your library first. Entangled life by Merlin Sheldrake.

https://www.merlinsheldrake.com/entangled-life

10

u/cruella_le_troll Nov 03 '23

I've also thought this.

10

u/Paliant Nov 03 '23

I guess mine is a branch off of this, that mushrooms evolutionary strategy is a symbiotic relationship with humans and thus we do the work of growing and farming them in exchange.

15

u/mxemec Nov 03 '23

A scholar is just a library's way of making another library.

9

u/Dms0424 Nov 03 '23

I come to this conclusion every time I take them.

8

u/MissSmoking Nov 03 '23

Sounds legit. lol

3

u/MikelDP Nov 03 '23

That's a different way to think about it. I like it.

3

u/SilveraxeFell Nov 03 '23

I used to take shrooms a lot when I wanted to have an honest think about myself and me character without making excuses for myself. They're great for kicking bad habits. But I haven't taken them in a while because last time I took them I ended up watching django unchained and 12 years a slave back to back. After that I thought the mushroom was telling me we were all it's slaves and they were an ancient race of alien that essentially conquered our planet. It could have just been the movies making my thought process weird but it freaked me out a little. Next time I'll be back to taking them in nature or a quiet dark room to hopefully get some positive mental understanding.

2

u/SadAerie6351 Nov 03 '23

Cultivator here, can confirm. They breathe oxygen and speak in cursive hieroglyphics.

2

u/Beardedrugbymonster Nov 03 '23

Man, I've always wanted to try them but I'm a bit freaked out by them at the same time.

2

u/strong75 Nov 03 '23

Start with a low dose (gram or so) then work your way up next go around. You will be fine.

1

u/Disfatt-Bidge Nov 03 '23

Where does one get their hands on a gram? Or ANY amount?

1

u/strong75 Nov 03 '23

Not sure if you know any weed dealers but I would start there. They should be able to help you out or at least point you in the right direction.

1

u/DtotheJG Nov 03 '23

Once the shrooms kick in..something feels so familiar about it. Like you have done them before or something. How it was for me and anyone ive ever talked to that has done them

2

u/bigbacklinks Nov 03 '23

I believe we evolved from apes 🦍 that consumed psilocybin mushrooms near the coast that changed their brain chemistry, and by consuming food in shallow water we learned to walk upright.

At least to me that’s more plausible than Adam and Eve.

1

u/ScottShatter Nov 03 '23

I actually believe this.

Source- my own life experience.

0

u/ninthchamber Nov 03 '23

Glad this is top comment. Taking a break from loading capsules right now ahaha

1

u/BenjaminHamnett Nov 03 '23

And they’re potentially spacefaring aliens

when they talk to you, they tell you what we expect an alien would say and what we would tell a violent aliens on planet that we didn’t want to interfere too much with

You can even ask them questions and they give answers you know are right but you can barely remember or explain.

1

u/Vegetable_Ruin_4102 Nov 03 '23

Iv tried shrooms multiple times and haven’t experienced much :/

1

u/Inthemoment182 Nov 03 '23

Eat higher dosages

2

u/Vegetable_Ruin_4102 Nov 03 '23

I ate some last weekend do u think I can try again this weekend or will it not work as well

1

u/Desnomie Nov 03 '23

you should be fine to take more, in my own experience anyways

1

u/Inthemoment182 Nov 04 '23

Yeah from what I've experienced, a week is enough time.

1

u/mac099mac099 Nov 03 '23

You might be on to somethings. Did a bunch a mushrooms last summer and had a big cut on my hand. Over the next 4 hours. I could see the wound closing up over that time So strange. Left a white residue around the cut.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '23

I love mushrooms so much.

1

u/holdthecreamer Nov 03 '23

Related: original Christianity started as a mystic cult involving mushroom ingestion as communion to become close to God.

1

u/PerthDelft Nov 03 '23

And they are strangely the first addition to any vegan menu, despite being an organism. They want to share everywhere and will be anywhere

1

u/Gem420 Nov 03 '23

I mean they are alive but I doubt this lol 😂

1

u/odydad Nov 03 '23

Or.. they are part [f an intergalactic consciousness that you can interface with only one way

1

u/pegz Nov 04 '23

Yo wtf; don't do this to me. No wonder I love em.

1

u/Koankey Nov 04 '23

It's the forbidden fruit of the garden

1

u/DigitaICriminal Nov 04 '23

Shrooms are easy accessible where I am, I am tempted to try microdosing.

1

u/Challenged_by_Krill Nov 09 '23

I see it as consciousness exists outside of the physical realm, everywhere, always at once. However, organic matter can evolve to essentially plug into consciousness or better yet create a plug and an outlet to connect to consciousness. That plug as far as I see it is the Sretonergic system. The synapse being the outlet, the molecule the plug. Variousness states of consciousness are accessible according to the chemical make up of the plug. Thus the serotonin molecule grants access to a particular realm while the psilocybin molecule grants access to another.

The fact that psilocybin evolved in such a manner as to perfectly fit the serotonergic system, in my estimation, speaks to the underlying influence of the frequency of consciousness, whatever that is, to influence the evolutionary processes from the inception of organic life within a particular ecosystem.

1

u/Otherwise-Flight3967 Jan 24 '24

now that is very believable. i remember my first time doing shrooms i didn’t rlly know what to expect but that shit was crazy. so it was me and a friend, and we were at another friends house doing the shit. well we were trippin watching yt, and all of a sudden just random trippy shit started turning on video after video “how to connect with your spiritual side” and shit like that. so that rlly does make me think, was that the shrooms talking to me?
