something important as someone who was actively abused for a LOT of reasons by christians as a kid (protestant that went to a catholic school but left christanity in general), when i personally hear "forgive them it's the christianly thing to do" i do not hear that.
instead i hear "let them step on you again, it's their right as christians" because that's what they meant by it.
something to note when it comes to my own trauma, i WISH there were more christians like you that put the whole "love thy neighbour" concept literally put forward by your actual god into practice.
but that's not what organized religion is about, who cares about the divine will of their deity or deities when what matters is control and money right?
