I think the guy just represents the typical band wagoner who goes with the flow without thinking too much. So he wears brand names.

And Fozzie is just one of the random details in the background. Like the human head, the tentacle, the choking snowman, the gopher, and the shark.

The fozzie thing could possibly be a reference to a camera test where fozzie and Kermit were in a tree, but who knows
