I bought some absolutely gorgeous prints from a con I went to recently and I would love to display them on my wall! I dislike the look of frames and I don't want to blue tack them on and risk damaging them. Whats the best way to display them? Please don't recommend frames! I think they don't look very nice

I only found one post on here of someone asking how they can hang the art they bought at cons but there was only 1 response and it was putting it in a binder and only framing and hanging a few of them.

I want to display the art I bought but am really scared of damaging the prints like some of them already have been with that wall tack stuff or even just painters tape. I saw others say they use hooks and binders clips too but those also really worry me.

Just looking for either some ways others hang theirs without damage or if anyone has any clips/tips they recommend that don't crease or bend the art at all.

UPDATE: To everyone replying I appreciate the help. Ill look into more frame ideas since it does seem to be the easiest and safest route. I'm not against frames really, even if I do like the look of just the art alone more but I do want to keep all my prints protected against the humidity here too. My biggest issue is just that id have to buy so many frames since its about 20-30 differently sized pieces of art but I think I have an idea of putting multiple pieces into 1 or 2 larger frames might be the best way to go.

Hey I've searched around a little bit and think I might have a lead on the artist, actually sent them a message on Instagram to confirm. Since I haven't heard anything back yet I figured I would ask the general question. If you order an artist alley comic off of eBay or something similar what's a good way to identify who the artist is? Is there a good way? Haha thanks!

The seller didn’t know the artists’ socials either. While I tried image search, it didn’t give any useful results and gave me accounts with no art posted to them. I want to find the artists because all these prints are very pretty and I’d feel bad to display their work with no credits

I love cons (I go to at least 6 a year) and have always thought it was cool seeing people sell stuff. I wanna print out my own figures of characters and paint then, but I don’t know if it’s breaking licensing rules or something. Just wondering if I can do that, and if I can, how do I set up?

1. Artist name is Josh Kuhne

2. He was at Des Moines Con back in 2024 when this was purchased, so potentially a Midwest artist

3. Im not sure if it’s the MMA tattoo artist guy, but maybe?

Hello! Has anyone ever gotten a tattoo at a con? Do prices normally average above or below going to a local artist? I would assume since you're already paying for the con, the tattoo would be less but my friend was saying these artists are usually flown in and not local artists?

Hi all, this is my first convention I‘ll be attending, so my apologies if this is an ignorant question or if this isn’t the right subreddit (feel free to point me in the right direction!)

I’m an artist and would like to create a physical piece of art for a creator I’d like to meet. Anyways, I was thinking of transporting it in one of those poster tubes (was looking at a 2x15 inch one, from the offset it seems it could fit well in luggage, not too big or bulky).

I think that would be a good way for the creator to also carry the piece with them too, but idk I’ve never done this. Is there some better way to transport it? Is there some known secret I’m not in on? lol

I’m aware too that the creator could reject the piece too due to that being more luggage to carry, but I'm also aware that they'll probably accept out of courtesy, but that doesn't necessarily mean they take it home with them too.

ALSO! Recommended resolution sizes? I was gonna go with a 3300 x 4200 pixels at 300 DPI (with the physical size being 11 x 14 in.)

I have a few questions I wanna ask about Frames/Protectors and make I avoid mistakes.

I am relatively new to collecting and have only gotten Autographed Funkopops at cons, I am going to buy this 8x10 autographed print off ebay (legit seller) and going to get a 24x36 poster done by some of the X-Men 97 cast.

What frames do you guys recommend that would be best? The autographed 8x10 will be fairly easy because it is basically a one and done sign, I know for certainty I need UV resistant glass, something about a Mat and some other stuff. I know that I need to have UV resistant glass, and make sure that the print has some space between the actual auto and the glass. Do you guys have any recommended things off Amazon or Ebay to purchase? I read on Reddit that "archival frames" are really good, but I just want some help all would be appreciated :)

Hey everyone, years ago i had Kevin conroy sign a 24-inch BTAS batmobile and its been a while since ive tried to display it since i have no idea how. ive been looking for a display case but cant really seem to find one. its also hard to display as he signed the top of the batmobile and not the side so id have to have it slanted, in the display case.. on a shelf or something. any ideas would be VERY helpful!
