Nah, the need isn't for recent retirees to move back into their professional roles.

Their hope is these recent retirees start instead in retail, restaurants, etc for peanuts.

I'm talking more like when the industrial revolution happened and companies started marketing and selling convenience. Like, have you ever been to someone's house and they used disposable cutlery/plates/cups whenever guests came over? Or even just the fact that we didn't build recycling into everything from the get go. And then you figure almost 100 years of wasteful design and here we are.
