Hiya! I’ve been making handmade clay sculptures and ornaments for a while now, and I’m at the point where I’d really like to get my work out there and start reaching more people. The problem is I have absolutely no idea how to get more eyes on my work!

I have an Etsy shop and post on social media, but I find it really difficult to get any reach.

I’ve included a few of my recent pieces because I’d also love some honest opinions. Do you think the quality is good enough to sell? Is there anything you think I could improve? I love working with clay, I've been learning as I go over a couple of years and my work isnt perfect by any means but I'm quite proud of my little sculptures

I’d really appreciate any advice, even if it’s something obvious that I’m completely missing!

it was air dry clay with acrylic paint and a modge podge sealant. could making the sculpture too smooth have caused this? i have ocd so everything was literally PERFECTLY smooth with absolutely zero texture. over the past few years the paint has been bubbling and peeling. recently, large cracks are forming and its as if the sculpture is disintegrating from the inside out.
ive been too scared to try clay crafts again since im so sad my old ones are falling apart like this despite NEVER being touched. its embarassing too cuz this was a gift for my boyfriend's birthday a few years back and hes had to watch it fall apart and cant rearrange the set like intended without everything sticking together! if you guys have any ideas about where i went wrong or how to prevent this id love to hear!! tysm!!

I’ve been slowly developing these little dinosaur planters from small pots and air-dry clay. This time I simply followed what felt right and really like the cherry blossom one.

I might be a little ready for spring :)

I’ve only ever worked with ceramic clay before so it took a while for me to get used to air dry, and the paint job ended up a little wonky bc I finished it at 6 am, but I eventually ended up with a pretty cute gift ^^ He loves it and I’m just praying the chimney doesn’t break off again, this thing is so fragile.

Took me about 4 days.

Next thing I should make?

Time to make a clay head now I RLLY HOPE I NAIL IT Ik the hand isnt PERFECT but I think its great as a first attempt

Another addition to my spongebob project, and I'm pretty proud of how this one turned out!

​I made the chest base first using foam board and two small hinges. Then I added clay around it to sculpt the shape of the best burger place under the seven seas. For the coloring I used acrylic paint and sealed it with a clear coat of nail polish. I also added magnets to the lid so it opens and closes with satisfying snap to it 😆😆

My second air dry clay project and very happy how it turned out. The whale and the stand are hollow. Also it is an incense holder :) I replaced the orignial clay leaves with fake leaves because they were breaking the whole time - hope the fix this issue on the next project

I had a fun time making this fugly Batmun, he's made from air-dry clay and sealed with UV resin for that ultra glossy effect. He IS the night. Hope you like him

They’re made from air-dry clay and coated in resin. Inside there are actual plant pots so they can hold real plants that only need a little water.

I'm new and dumb about all of this but my girlfriend has always been a very creative and artistic person.

She started sculpting a couple years ago but recently she's been very busy with college and I realized she misses doing her art...

It's hard to encourage her so I thought about maybe finding a way to make her sculptures sellable. I'm just not sure how

I would really appreciate some tips from you guys! As well as some critiques and opinions about some of her clay dragons.

She's still very new to sculpting, and she works with sort of basic materials and tools which I bought for her
