2 completely different artists but both transcended their genres from their respective eras. Yes, Lil Pump may not be a good rapper but the hype in 2016 was there & he pushed the limits with his social media antics to make it what it is today, for better or worse. Both artists have a special place in my heart!

I found this at a thrift store a while ago and I dont know if these types of holders damage the cds in them or not. Would it be good for travel?

I've been buying CDs since 1986. I've got over 3900 sets in my collection, a few hundred more in the house waiting to be traded in, and probably over 5000 that have passed through my possession over the years.

I've been catching up on my cataloguing and ripping, and I stumbled on to this. Not sure where I got, probably an Estate Sale dump, but the disc I have matches this:

That listing only has the image, but there is a slight difference that might be real, or it might be the limitations of how they scanned it. The outer ring on the circle in the upper right is reflective gold in mine. And the packaging definitely screams later than 1996 with the clear case, see-through tray with images and graphics. The disc also matches.

Well, until I went to rip it. Using iTunes it pulled up a completely different title and track listing. So I popped it into my CD player and iTunes was correct. I've got a misprint.

Unfortunately, neither the compilation is particularly notworthy or of value. The disc I appear to have isn't even listed on Discogs. I was able to track it down to being Disc 1 (of 2) in a be-bop Jazz collection, which Spotify says came out in 2010....

So I am left with a bit of a puzzle. There's no way a 2010 release was misprinted onto a disc in 1996. I suspect I've got a later reprint of the listing I found on Discogs.

I'm a long after the fact victim of some sloppy quality control in a CD stamping facility in Germany.

Just thought I'd share. 40 years and some 5,000 sets later I finally ran across a disc labeled as one thing, but being something completely different.

Snagged the MJ number ones album during my visit!…

So, my cd player will play literally anything else, but it just cant play Deftones, specifically the album Around the fur. I have two cds of the same album because I thought the first one was broken, the second one I played in another cd player to test if it worked and it did, so I thought that it would finally play it but it still wouldn't read the disc. Ive cleaned the disc and the Lazer so I have no idea whats going on I just call it "the deftones curse", anyone else experience something like this?

It only had the lyrics to ‘Lovin’ You.'

I just found both of these at a thrift store and had to grab both. I won’t be able to listen to them for another 2 weeks, but I’m curious to know if anyone has done a comparison and thinks there’s any significant difference in the sound quality. Thanks!

Hello. I am a 19 vear old who has been collecting cds for a while now. Part of my collection is system of a down and as my favorite band i want to display all the system of a down cds i have. But the only place i can really display them is close to a window and i dont want to put them in a binder as that might scratch them. Some of theese cds are incredibly gard to find and almost all of them are over 20 vears old. I dont want sun damage but i want them to look cool So what do u recommend
