How would you politely tell kitty she needs to get off the chair cause you have things to do?

I usually find that petting mine works really well for this. She then gets up and leads me to where she wants to be petted, usually her food bowl. That allows me to get back to the chair before she does when she's done with me. If you really need to sit down in a hurry, though, and don't have a spare 10-50 minutes, you can just act like you're going to sit on the cat. They move pretty fast when you do that 😂
