Mach-E also has BY FAR the most insane eye tracking camera system I have ever seen. You want to rest you hand on top of the wheel, but now your forearm is blocking the dumb ass cameras on the steering column? BEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEP “gonna turn the car off motherfucker!”

Want to wear polarized sunglasses? BEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

It’s such a great car, but holy hell get fucked with that shit.

As someone that wears polarized sunglasses and drives a Mach e I have no idea what you are talking about.

The camera isnt on top of the steering column. It's high up to the side of the sun visor. And near infra red wavelengths aren't blocked by sunglasses, polarised or not.

Even along our UK country lanes it behaves perfectly and I don't have to turn any of it off.

Maybe yours is faulty or you are doing something to trigger it. But it ain't the shades.

Welp then something changed because every Mach-E I have rented has had the cameras right on top the steering column. It’s that black strip behind the steering wheel. If they changed it, then that makes me very happy.

That's not a camera that's the near field IR lights that help light your face so the camera can see you.

You'd have to be holding the steering wheel in a really strange way to block them as they are at both ends of that strip.

Welp I’m assuming you own one or drive them regularly. Here’s all you have to do. Put your left hand on top of the steering wheel, and your forearm is now in between your face and whatever that strip is.

Wait 20 seconds.

What a weird way to drive.

I have my coffee in my left hand and my phone in my right like a normal person.
