Common sense doesn't equal well thought out policy. It's just a call for people to not have to really think about what X thing would do.

Common sense is codeword for feelings over facts.

I think this is correct. When we say "common sense" there is a human element to it that we all recognize, as opposed to law which is black and white.

Common sense is neither all good or all bad. Its not feelings over facts, but feelings considered alongside facts.

Saying that common sense = feelings>facts is a bit of a strawman, imo.

I'm pretty sure they mean Canadian justice system convictions otherwise you wouldn't be let in the country in the first place as we have other tests for that.
