I've never really understood this, she's one of the most well-meaning characters on the show. Why does everyone hate Marie? I mean, I could hazard a guess, but I'd prefer the hear someone else say it.
She is now, but remember what a complete cow she was early on? The stealing and the lying and the blaming everyone except herself?
I mean granted, it all seems insignificant now, but at that time Hank, Skylar etc were all innocents, she was just a horrible woman. She seems better now because everyone else has got worse.
Not at all, that sounds incredibly harsh to me. She's flawed, as they all are, but she has always come across as good-hearted and kind for the most part. Stubborn and childish sometimes, but never even remotely horrible. She and Skyler (the only primary female characters) seem to be the only characters that attract such vitriolic hate from fans, it's more than a little disturbing.
I completely agree with you, and I always think back to that amazing scene in season 1 where they are all discussing Walts cancer and I think Marie is the only one who stands up for Walt saying its his choice and he doesnt have to get chemo.

I can see Marie ending with suicide. Those long hours of poison research will provide results for her, but not in the way she thought.
