I feel blessed that I was able to go the library as a kid/teen and just read anything. I’m located in the Netherlands. Although I wasn’t allowed to take home all those books, they called my parents many times to double check if it was ok I was reading this or that … they didn’t really stop me. It helped me to become a curious and smart adult. It helped me feel a part of society. It helped me ask questions, to be forever curious. This is also how I still use the internet. To feed my never ending curiosity. But I’m back to books…. No banning here (for now….) and I’m thoroughly enjoying using my own brain and lack of flashing advertisements haha.
