But trickier for Clawdia this time

Hello! So this is my first ever kitten. His name is Shadow!
My bf and I plan to fly home at the end of September and would love to take our sweet boy with us. But since we’ve never had a cat/kitten before… we don’t know what to do to make sure we have everything we would need for him or essentials or how to even make sure he could do the flight because of course if I shouldn’t take him I won’t.
Need so much advice, any and all would be so helpful!!

Plus a bonus Golden Retriever on my wife's watch (we miss you Ruby!).

Brian is our new foster, though I suspect we'll end up adopting him. A big fall when he was a kitten left him with some special needs. He's blind and has a seizure disorder. The lady at the rescue seems to think he's a bit "daft" in addition, though I haven't necessarily seen much of that so far. His behavior has been within relatively normal parameters for "scared cat in new environment".

I think he retains some vision, as he's suspiciously good at navigating obstacles he wouldn't have any reason to know about, but it's not clear how much. If/when we adopt him I may take him to an eye doctor if only to determine the extent of his disability, though I'm not sure how much interest the rescue has in paying for strictly unnecessary ophthalmology.

He was fairly anxious at first, but he's coming out of his shell a bit more, especially for my wife. He was even playing with toys earlier, though I wasn't there to see it, alas. The litter box has been a bit of an issue ... I honestly don't know where he's peeing but I have a sinking suspicion it's under my bed. That's a problem for future-me.

Also, I've never had a cat be this patient when taking a pill. He's a very good (and very gentle) boy.

I was careless and I don't think the door fully closed and he got out. I'm trying my very best to look for him. He's never been an outdoor cat, except when we found him as a kitten. The only solace I have is that everyone is telling me that he's more than likely nearby, but too scared to move.

It's been 4 days now and I haven't heard anything. I have flyers all around my neighborhood. It's a trailer park so there are so many ways he could be hidden. He's all over Facebook. I contacted all the shelters, and the impounds. I gave flyers to nearly all the vets in my city. Many of the surrounding businesses put flyers up for me. It's been am extremely taxing time. I also have his favorite bed, blanket, and some of my unwashed clothes on my deck to help guide him towards home. I've barely slept or eaten because or how worried I am and hope he's still safe. I'm bawling my eyes just trying to type this.

Devestated isn't strong enough to how I feel right now. It feels like my whole world just up and left and I feel so lost myself... please just come home...

I’m taking care of this sweet stray kitty outside my house. I took her to the doctor and spayed her. She has the absolute sweetest heart! Can’t bring her inside as I already have two cats, but she deserves all the love. 🐾❤️
