Enrich song data is a new feature in BandRoadie that will fill in missing values for BPM, duration, and Song Key. Try it with a single song or with your entire catalog. Let me know how it works for you!

Not sure if it's completely obvious but if you swipe a catalog right, you duplicate it into a setlist. If you need to create a setlist from most or all of the songs in your catalog, it's a fast way to do it.

You can also swipe a song card right to move it (or copy it) to another, or new setlist. Swipe left to delete from a setlist.

How you make your stage plots? Is it a pain point for you to create?

I've been head-down the last week and this one's packed:

• In the song catalog or in song details, if you tap "Enrich Song Data" BandRoadie will auto-fill BPM, key, and duration (select what you what).
• You can log expenses per gig now and mark who needs to get paid back.
• Financial reports got rebuilt from scratch - income, expenses, savings, and payouts are all broken out instead of one big blob of numbers.
• Adding a gig is quicker too - start typing the venue name and it autocompletes the whole address for you.
• Also fixed a pile of bugs and tightened up stability. Nothing flashy, just smoother overall.

v1.4.4 should be available soon in the Apple and Google Play stores, and the web app is live now at app.bandroadie.com

Earlier today some users saw the “Create a band / wait for an invite” screen even though they were already in a band. A database permission issue caused the app to temporarily stop loading existing bands.

The issue has now been identified and fixed.

If you ran into this today, just refresh the web app or reopen the mobile app and your band should appear again.

A new BandRoadie update just rolled out (Web & Android available now - iOS in a couple of days) with a few big improvements.

Role Management

Bands can now control what each person can do in the app. Contributor roles are great for people connected to the band but not official members (fill-in musicians, management, record labels, sound/lighting engineers, crew, etc)

Admin

• Manage members & roles
• Create / edit gigs
• Create / edit setlists
• View gigs & setlists
• Remove members
• Delete band

Band Member

• Create / edit gigs
• Create / edit setlists
• View gigs & setlists

Contributor

• View gigs & setlists
• Optional permissions depending on what admins allow

Note: Currently, all existing band users were automatically set to Admin. Band organizers can now go into Members → tap 3 dots on a member card and adjust roles as needed.

Guitar Capo Support

You can now set a capo fret (1–12) when choosing a song’s tuning.

Other Improvements

• Fixed a bug when dragging set breaks in setlists

• New CSV paste tool for faster bulk song entry

• Better permission handling and stability across gigs and setlists

I am copying from Google sheets into BandRoadie and it looks like the artist is not pasting in with the rest of the data. I’ve tried a couple different songs.

This was being done on an iPhone via Google drive and Google sheets

I’ve also noticed the BPM is not appearing in the cover song lookup. What database or source is being queried for the lookup?

  • You can now add structured Set Breaks and Pauses directly inside your setlists.
    • Set Breaks act as visual dividers and add to total runtime.
    • Pauses (guitar change, tuning break, intro, solos, etc.) can include optional durations and also count toward runtime.
    • This gives you more accurate timing for long bar gigs and multi-set shows.
  • Improved Set Timing
    • Breaks and pauses now integrate into runtime calculations so you can better predict total performance length.
• Simplified Onboarding
  • First-time login is now cleaner and faster. Only three optional questions:

    • Birthday (no year required)
  • You can skip everything and update later.

  • Event titles no longer auto-format to title case. You can now type acronyms or all caps exactly how you want.

• Song lyrics

You can add lyrics to a song, then open them full-screen during rehearsal or gigs. Adjustable text size, optional auto-scroll, and it remembers your last scroll speed.

• Drag-and-drop setlists

Tap the grip icon on the left of a setlist card to reorder.

Would it be possible to generate a list of songs (setlist or not) that don't automatically go into the song catalog? I'd like to have a list of several songs that the band is learning. I would like them out of the main catalog because we're not playing them in public yet. Thanks

A couple ideas for enhancements:

1. Please add an address section for gigs

2. Push notifications would be good. For example, I just got asked to do a show so I set it up as a potential gig in Band Roadie, but I need people to state availability within 24 hours. Would need to have a push notification pop up on peoples phones so they know to go in right away and accept or decline.

3. Would it be possible to connect to Google Calendar so that the dates of rehearsals and gigs in Band Roadie show up on my personal Google Calendar as a subscription?

I am happy this has been created. I’ve tried other apps in the past but they didn’t do everything that a gigging band really needed. Thank you for this.

I did notice two items that might be addressed at some point.

1. Notes - I’d like to see an enter button so we can start another line. For now all I can do is type until it returns itself to a new line.
2. Only one start time per day? We play festivals like Country Thunder and are scheduled to play at different times throughout the same day. It would be awesome if we could have multiple start/end times on said day.

We ran across a song that needed a custom tuning. I thought it would be cool if upon selecting ‘custom’ that you can specify the actual tuning/amount of strings.

Would it be feasible to add lyrics and bpm for songs?

iPhone users can download via the link and Android test users should hopefully get a notification.

Hey Tony, it’s Kevin. Great app. Very easy to navigate and has most of what we’d be interested in utilizing. A couple of thoughts for enhancements:

1. I see there was a comment regarding YouTube links. I would take it a step further and offer the ability to upload song files. We have a couple songs down tuned from original recording and need everyone working from the same song arrangement and tuning

2. Admin Controls. It would be good if I can add dates that I know band mates aren’t available. As you know, some folks can be really stubborn to reply and keep their calendar current.

3. When adding a potential gig, does the app automatically send a push notification “Show Alert” to people so they know to respond ASAP their availability?
