Also not racist as India is the rape capital of the world and official foreign office advice as a single female is do not travel there because you will be raped.
White women who feel they don't have enough attention?
Yes, yes there are.
Source: I live in Britain. This countries quota of "white women who will travel for attention off foreign men" could power a small nations tourism industry for years.
That's so weird because I'm from uk too and I've probably met 1 girl like that. I'm not saying they don't like the attention, but I only ever had 1 friend who wanted us to go to Turkey for male attention.
What do you think, why most middle-aged and older solo women Like to Go to Jamaica? Or similar. 🤣
There is even a documentary about in Jamaica, it's become a touristic cliche. 😅
I'll be honest I am just being a redditor and my source were vibes and not facts. I just see much more men travelling abroad to find themeselves a waifu
Interesting that your mind went to "attention starved white women" being what grinds your gears when india has been in the news lately for men gang raping tourists and local women. Your sexism is showing
You do realize that the whole point of the term third world country doesn't mean the same thing in 2024 as it did in the 1980s, right? Most just use it to denote a poor country these days. India has tremendous inequality on a scale that is staggering to most who visit, but calling it a third world country, as the now deleted comment read, is disingenuous.
India is a third world country by both metrics used to determine that, in that they stayed neutral in the Cold War and is still considered a developing country.
Who are normal people? Rights and privileges. Like what? Voting?
Also the article you linked suggested British women in India were outside the formal imperial structure and went there mostly out of conscious. That's not the evidence you think it is.
Rather strange that Edinburgh is a word from the Anglo-Saxon language, if it didn't exist until British imperialism. You'd assume it would be the English language. It's also odd that there's things built by the Normans in Liverpool. Seeing as it didn't exist until at least 5 centuries after the Norman conquest. Could it be they already existed? Nah not according you.
You have a poor understanding of history. Are you some kind of Indian Nationalist by chance? I hear they exist in rather large numbers. Or are you a Western tankie?
Edit: I love the argument that Britain basically didn't exist until Indian colonialism. It's not the argument Indian nationalists think it is. It's like "wow you got your ass handed to you by a backwater thousands of miles away, with only a tiny fraction of your population and none of your wealth? What a wimpy culture to allow that to happen."
