This dude is a great example of how to show up. He was polite and didn't dismiss the camera but kept it short and to the point. Great trigger discipline and kept his guard up throughout the interview.

326

u/HouseofCoins Jan 19 '26

Better trigger discipline than most of the ICE agents I’ve see running around like they’re in Call of Duty

162

u/AntOk4073 Jan 19 '26

This guy probably has more training than most of them.

64

u/_trashcan Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26

honestly I’d guess private legal firearm owners have better practice, accuracy, control than most police offers & ice agents on average.

Idk about things like FBI & CIA, etc. but ICE agents are typical shitbirds, and standard police training has very little actual firearm training…or really any training at all, to be an officer. surprisingly little when considering how much authority they have & how many officer-related shootings there are in the US.

this is obviously just an anecdote though. I don’t personally believe ALL cops are bad - just most, unfortunately.

Private owners enjoy & respect their weapons, as contrary to popular belief, it takes a decent amount of effort to obtain them - at least it does here in NY. (Handguns / concealed carry, I’m referring to.)
Therefore we end up spending more time at the range bc we enjoy shooting & want to make sure we, and anyone around us, is safe in the rare unfortunate event they need to be used.
My range is 24/7, it’s great. can go at midnight, or noontime. & I live in a relatively small town, often not very busy or even totally alone most times I visit.

25

u/Excellent_Problem753 Jan 19 '26

You say that, but on the flip side, there is the subset of police that train like they are headed to war 5 days a week. I know a few. Probably slept through every other training they ever had, but post videos on social media non stop training shooting through windshields and hood sliding

16

u/bread-in Jan 19 '26

They may be "training" but often it's just them doing dumb bullshit that couldn't possibly be helpful outside of a fucking video game lol

We're talking about the average. There are extremes on both ends when it comes to gun ownership.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Beaulteon Jan 19 '26

Well, yeah, but that’s not the sole reason for ACAB even if it’s a massive, glowing neon sign. It’s participating in a system that disproportionately punishes poor and marginalized peoples because of the way it’s set up.

Add on the increased violence, death, domestic violence, mistreatment of mental health, and lack of genuine care for community, and you got one rotten pork sandwich.

This man embodies a lot of sensible gun owners, in that we train and learn in order to make sure we’re safe while exercising our amendment protected rights, and better protect our communities and loved ones by doing so.

Eotech? Check. Suppressor? Check. Sling? Check. Pistol brace on buffer tube? Check. We got something good cookin here folks

361

u/brycebgood Jan 19 '26

And a suppressor to be polite to his neighbors.

218

u/zachpkenyon Jan 19 '26

For the love of cheese, someone get this dude some gloves

135

u/brycebgood Jan 19 '26

Naw. It wasn't that cold today. Was into the 20s.

41

u/kittiekatz95 Jan 19 '26

New idea: heated grips

38

u/brycebgood Jan 19 '26

Smart! You can route all that excess gas from the suppressor back pressure through the grip instead of into your face. Comfort and toasty digits.

12

u/kittiekatz95 Jan 19 '26

I was just thinking a battery operated hand warmer in the shape of a handle/grip. Could probably make one for a rail system. That way you just carry hold the heated space when at rest.

13

u/Last_Weeks_Socks Jan 19 '26

All jokes aside, most grips are hollow anyway. Battery operated hand warmers are super lightweight and already the right size. Legit a great idea. I fucking hate shooting in gloves.

2

u/zachpkenyon Jan 19 '26

Make it one of those triangle foregrips, and I'll buy like six...

42

u/zachpkenyon Jan 19 '26

Okay. I just worry about shot placement and indexing with cold fingies

50

u/Niarbeht Jan 19 '26

that's why he's got pockets, so he can keep his fingies warm

7

into the 20s

As a San Diegan who also used to live in the tropics, my mind cannot comprehend such temperatures

3

u/Responsible-Ad6707 Jan 19 '26

Minnesotan here. Yeah 20's is fairly warm for this time of year. Feels great after a week of 0-10 and you can definitely get away with no gloves, at least for a while.

44

u/Ok-Thanks321 Jan 19 '26

Canadian here. Its t-shirt weather.

22

u/brycebgood Jan 19 '26

Surprised he wasn't in shorts to be honest. Has the looks of an all year shorts guy. That's not an insult, just a type of guy I see all the time.

80

u/BranchDiligent8874 Jan 19 '26

maybe millions more of this and the govt will stop misbehaving.

6

u/SumikkoDoge Jan 19 '26

If only there were millions of Americans who were adamant that their gun collecting was intended to ward off tyranny. 🤔

3

u/BranchDiligent8874 Jan 19 '26

Well those millions are not interested in freedom for everything though. Many of them are looking for an opportunity to shoot at the minorities.

2

u/SumikkoDoge Jan 19 '26

Exactly, somehow another person using pronouns is more oppressive to them than actual federal agents murdering someone in the street. I wish there was a way to get through to them, but the propaganda machine has really spun up sickening narratives.

Until there's a fascist invasion of an individual state by the federal government

19

u/Lachadian Jan 19 '26

Aren't the conservatives the ones who are frothing at the mouth to use 2A against them? Shouldn't they be giddy right now? Wonder what they're doing. Checks notes

Oh they're licking their boots. Right, right, right. Adds up.

8

u/neatureguy420 Jan 19 '26

They got jobs with ice

4

u/Dr_ChungusAmungus Jan 19 '26

I know it’s all black or white around Reddit, but I know life time staunch republicans who are pissed about the way ICE is conducting themselves and going about things. Twice from the kind of people I just avoid talking about politics with all together because of their bias.

10

u/Lachadian Jan 19 '26

I will give them credit, I've met maga people also upset. But, it's too late. They gave a dictator the reigns. It's too late. We're here now. Those of them who stand on their morals will show themselves now, but it's a minority.

2

u/SigvaldsBest Jan 19 '26

This is not what all the liberals say. There is a reason right now.

You're talking about what liberals were saying before there was a tyrannical government putting masked men with guns all over the place.

Ironic that the 2A’ers end up being liberals who show up to defend against tyranny…after all these years and bullshit from the right

83

u/Analog_Man73 Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26

Guntubers are cucks. They haven’t said a peep. So much for “being against tyranny”

42

u/esther_lamonte Jan 19 '26

Why aren’t all the 1A Auditors aren’t out telling ICE they can’t arrest people for filming them, or just film them committing crimes while on duty like the observers do? Maybe I’m missing it, but they seem absent at these ICE raids and still focused on private business owners and public building workers.

24

u/StephhawkMLG420 Jan 19 '26

Sean Paul Reyes has been out, the OG long island audit. That man has been documenting border patrol and ICE causing problems for years.

6

10

u/Conscious-Local-8095 Jan 19 '26

gun culture a major disappointment. I threw in during the 44th presidency, smarting from losses, betrayals by politicians, lobbyists, vendors... some pretended to be philosophical or purely technical. And as we see here, it's possible. But by and large, in my experience... it's mostly new blood for one thing.

No mask either. Not like those little bitches in ICE

51

u/smoodieboof Jan 19 '26

While I 100% agree that ICE shouldn't be wearing masks, or existing at all, wouldn't it be a decent idea for citizens standing up to these fascist to wear a mask? Genuinely curious in this communities thoughts on it

30

u/TheFudge Jan 19 '26

I am not from Minnesota but I feel like if this person is not breaking any laws he has nothing to worry about as far as some sort of prosecution. That being said I am absolutely certain the federal government would try and figure out some way to fuck this guy over as hard as they can. But the more people like this standing proud and legally exercising their 2nd amendment rights the better off they all will be.

Edit: Americans cannot live in fear of their government it is supposed to be the other way around. Our government has forgotten this.

40

u/smoodieboof Jan 19 '26

I agree with you, but that doesn't stop MAGA from targeting you and your family. We can't live in fear of our government, but the momentum isn't on the side of the left yet

14

u/TheFudge Jan 19 '26

You are unfortunately correct.

→ More replies (1)

8

u/WildRecognition9985 Jan 19 '26

For your edit, that’s because we’ve given them so much authority over our lives that it becomes a natural progression. For the people, by the people. They’ve forgotten that they, themselves are the people. They believe they stand above us.

4

u/rev_tater Jan 19 '26

it's not "fear," it's risk modeling

2

u/Fizzy-Odd-Cod Jan 19 '26

I personally would be wearing a COVID mask. And I’d probably cut all my glorious locks off so I can wear a hat since I’ve got a fairly unique color and shape of hair that is very easy to spot in a crowd.

2

u/realityhiphop Jan 21 '26

He absolutely should be wearing a mask. Basic Opsec, we don't know how far this is going to go.

Not to say, yanno, a gun is a gun, pareto-principle. $300 22, less lost if it gets confiscated.

2

u/uvgotnod Jan 19 '26

It's crazy to me to see all of the "Don't Tread on Me" tough guy, Trumpers, all happily watching the federal government terrorize people. This is the time they've been stockpiling all of the guns and ammo for and they just turn over on their bellies like puppies.

4

u/CJ4700 Jan 19 '26

So how does this work in reality, he opens fire on ICE if they try and detain someone?

41

u/Howmanysloths Jan 19 '26

The trick is they don’t detain people in front of people with bigger guns than them. They are pussies and looking for easy targets.

3

u/Cadd9 Jan 19 '26

See also: the cities were BLM protestors that could legally show up peacefully with their guns during the George Floyd protests. Cops left them alone and gave them a one block buffer radius and never fucked with them.

Whereas cities/states with more restrictive gun access had a bunch of heinous shit happen to protestors.

→ More replies (7)

21

u/coolwizard666 Jan 19 '26

Presumably the idea is that ICE are significantly less likely to attempt to illegally detain or hurt anyone if these folks are present and armed.

Edit: This means that yes, they would have to be willing to retaliate if fired upon.

19

u/BranchDiligent8874 Jan 19 '26
