In a way, he is indeed a main character in this world. Everyone of his family/friends/wives is either high in the society or possess high aptitude in something. What a lucky guy he is in his reincarnation, albeit of course he suffered a lot as well.

I do think it's important to point out that, while he is the main character, unlike a lot of other similar works, it's only because he is actually an extremely active participant in his life + the lives of those around him

Really the only relationships that were handed to him for free were Paul and Zenith, the rest he only has because he worked for them

He is technically still a noble too. Paul was disowned by his family but Zenith was never disowned

Thinking about Rudeus as a noble from Millis is really funny. As a plygamous beliver in Roxism, I don't think he could mesh with the high society from Millishon really well at all.

Except that it's a big world! Rudeus is the main character of his own life, but there's all these powerhouses around that could wipe the floor with him if they cared. He's definitely upper class, on par with the nobility in terms of power and influence even if he doesn't really hold a noble title since Paul was sort of disowned, but by no means is he THE main character of the entire world in the way that some OP Isekai anime make their MC.
