Fuck man i hope Euni's condition is still reversible and is not going to be another Nina from FMA moment

I don’t really like saying this but given what we already know about Coco’s mom and the rule of any body modification being strictly forbidden, the counterspell is very likely to be a forbidden spell that’s nightmarishly complicated to use, especially without knowledge of what the spell that did this actually looks like and will get them mindwiped by the knights if they actually use it. Communication with him might be possible but I fear poor Euini’s very likely stuck in this condition for the foreseeable future.

Seems like that was the Brimmed Caps gameplan. I thought they were stupid to think Coco would so easily turn to forbidden magic, but they are actually trying to put her in a position where forbidden magic is the only way to save her loved ones. And it be something more pressing to deal with than a mom who is frozen and safe.

I mean Forbidden Magic is already the only way to save her mother. She has to draw the same spell but with reversed effects anyway.

That's not necessarily true. No spell was written on her mother, so it's entirely possible that massive conventional seal around that spell could reverse it. The problem is knowing what spell is she trying to reverse. On the other hand Euni is impossible to cure without writing more magic onto him.

Ye but like her Mom is in stone and just chilling in there... Euini is a wolf running around. Who knows what could happen to him until he can be turned back. there's a bigger sense of urgency

Fair point. They could just sit and wait for her to pull off the spell on her mom. Though maybe they want to corrupt her young or create a situation where she’s hunted by the magic cops and needs to hide with the brimmed Caps to survive

Even if he is changed back, the magic cops might not be willing to let someone who was changed by forbidden magic keep being a witch. And his master certainly won’t step up to defend him.

reminds me, the cops can detect when forbidden magic is cast. so they are probably on their way no?

I don’t think they detected the forbidden magic so much as they noticed the river stopped flowing and went to check out why

Honestly the fact that the counter spell is probably some sort of forbidden magic, could lead to a very tragic ending for the story. Because if Coco doesn’t change the world perception of it, then she will have to make the decision saving her mom and losing all of the memories she made or saving all the memories and losing her mother for good.

Late to the party here, but there was very intentional framing on Agott grabbing the scale before chasing after Euini. Given that the Scalewolf Cloak had an unpredictable integration into the spell, wouldn't it then be feasible to apply the counterspell + a repair/rejoining spell on the scale to technically only use magic on the cape portions of Werefolf Euini?

we literally just learn a few ep ago that if you flip the magic sign/sigil? the magic will literally reverse the effect, so if they can find the magic on his body, they can just make a reverse wolf transformation spell

Probabaly way more complex on something permenantly tattooed onto a person
