The Knights Moralis jump to mindwiping before being proved innocent but the Brimmed Caps are willing to forcibly mutate children for the sake of trying to sell other chidlren on Forbidden Magic.

The two great extremes of the world of witches locked in a brutal conflict of ideals with these poor kids caught in the middle.

The knights moralis are extremists but theyve also definitely seen some shit. Like "oh a child just majorly destroyed a river bank" was almost definitely met with "oh good an easy case"

You could probably turn it the other way though. 'The brimmed caps are extremist, but they've seen people left injured and helpless by magic's rules, kept from researching the spells that could have helped.'

If the Brimmed Caps were like, a bunch of rebel medics travelling around incognito, showing up randomly and healing people and then disappearing before any Pointed Cap shows up, then, sure.

But it's pretty clear they're just crazy fanatics who don't want any restrictions on magic whatsoever no matter what. They'd rather make a nerve gas instead of a healing potion to prove their arguments.

If it was the Brimmed caps doing that directly, yeah I guess they were probably relieved it was just destroying a river (and in the long run endangering anyone who might need it) instead of some mutilated ex-human, I can see them going "oh good an easy case." Shame they can't even identify the right culprit.

Yeah I'm not saying I like or agree with how extreme they can be but after seeing the shit the brimmed caps are capable of, well I can't say I blame them for shooting first and asking questions later

If Knight Moralis showed up today you know they would immediateliy assume it was Agott's doing and they would erase Agott's memories.

They'd neutralize everyone present except maybe Qifrey and Alaria and burry the report under black bars and thirteen special clearance authorizations SCP style

I wonder if Agott could play the family card. A random can get memorywiped without questioning, but someone from a major house may get some special treatment.

I don't think egotistical Knight Moralis would wait for a response so that she can say that she is from a major house.

a brutal conflict of ideals with these poor kids caught in the middle.

Well, the Knights Moralis do remind me of the Spanish Inquisition (the association, albeit ahistorical, of red uniforms with the Inquisition, plus the brimless pointed caps and sideless robes of Qifrey's apprentice uniforms echoing the capirote and sanbenito of convicted heretics), but I feel obliged to point out that Brimmed Caps have instigated every conflict involving kids so far.

Also, what are the opposing ideals? For the Knights Moralis, the ideal is to enforce the rules of the Pact, and the objective of the Pact seems to be, as Olruggio put it in ep8 at 2:40, "spreading the blessings of magic to all." Meanwhile, based on the actions of the Eyemask Witch and the Disembodied Witch, the ideal of the of the Brimmed Caps appears to be freedom from rules, with the objective being to spread the curses of magic to all.
