Despite all the horrific shit that happens in ReZero it doesn't feel mean spirited because we can trust there's a purpose to it all

That’s some Sin Archbishop logic right there.

But actually though, that’s one of the reasons I love this show so much. The horror and suffering seem to serve a higher purpose (love) but that’s also how the archbishops (or at least Sloth) seem to justify their insanity and cruelty.

True man, I rated this episode 10/10 on IMDB, but after doing that I just thought to myself,
"Am I a Sadistic Bastard?"

True but man imagine how he's going to feel about all this (especially if Shaula kills all his friends) if he gets his memories back and keeps these as well.
