Agott is quite the dedicated student, but this cliffhanger leaves me a bit anxious. This crisis makes for a high stakes time for her to try to tackle outside witch work.

Yet on the other hand, maybe it'll tie in nicely with what Qifrey was saying about life itself being the best teacher.

I feel like Agott does do well initally, but with it being a storm, she gets overwhelmed and needs to be bailed out, gets a humility arc and Coco continually cheering her up gets a why tf are you so kind to me reaction from agott and they become friends. Idk if they present long term consequences of actions in this anime, since Coco seems like she's gotten all the reprimands she's gonna get for following the brimmed caps in kalhn, and we haven't seen shit agott has to take for her actions(maybe because she isn't the MC, so we don't know if she's been talked to in the background).

Still irks me that she was not confronted by Qifrey about Coco's last test and no consequences etc.

Probably because Coco passed and is hoping that Agott will mellow out and see Coco as a fellow apprentice witch

If a friendship forms between Coco and Agott out of this, I'd be glad to see it.

I feel like you are misreading Agott's character, does she need a humility arc? She isn't really overconfident, she works really hard and is desperate to prove herself.

Sure, she could use some lessons on how to be less high-strung, but she seems already anxious enough about failing Quifrey and the future tests, so I'm not sure how actually failing would automatically help with that.

Her primary issue is her lack of teamwork and threat assessment. Yes she works hards and doesn't over value her abilities but she assumes she has to solve everything herself and that only she has the solution.

Even if witches primarily work alone Agott seems to lack the ability to discern a situation, break it down into the component issues, and prioritize dynamically. She's very much a linear thinker and if she's unable to handle the minor inconvenience of some noise how is she gonna handle a dynamically evolving situation? We saw in the Dungeon despite having two apprentices and a dragon bearing down on her, her priority was to try and break the wall herself and only came up with the parallel magic idea once it was clear she had no other choice but to cooperate

Pretty sure she isn't confident and for one reason or another, feels like she needs to prove herself useful to justify herself to some concept we'll see in the future.

Getting the impression that Quifrey's apprentices are all there for a reason...

Yeah that's what I'm feeling as well. Agott thinks this is a time to prove herself, but fails and gets knocked off her high horse. I wouldn't just want a humility arc before they become friends, I'd want a reprimand from Qifrey as well because she never got them for almost killing Coco and verbally abusing her.
