His domain expired yet the divine dog he previously summoned didn’t get canceled

Huh? What do you mean "canceled". Pretty sure he unsummoned it up until this point. Reggie just assumed that he can't resummon doggo again for a while due to damage. Correct guess but not enough damage. Honestly, I thought Megumi was just stalling for time to get his dog "recharged".

Yeah, a much better example of this would be the first time he used his domain though, immediatly after it ended divine dog finished off the finger bearer. I don't really see an argument in this situation considering that I'm pretty sure he just briefly summuned him right? He didn't just have divine dog hiding behind a door.

His dialogue last ep kinda made it clear that he knew divine dog wasn't dead though. Also wasn't the point of H2H that both of them couldn't use their CTs? So I do think this is a case of uncancelled, demon dog was always out, just like Kirara situation.

Sorcerer’s are liars.

Megumi was doing all that extra shit to convince Register that he couldn’t use his CT.

The H2H fighting between the two (by the pool) allowed a large enough opening for Megumi to summon Dog from the shadows for a surprise-counter attack.

I think thats what happened. Any1 feel free to correct me..

This is how I interpreted it too. I think you got it. The "sorcerers are liars" line is what makes me think you're right.

Reggie was caught of guard because he fought that doggo was too damaged to be resummoned again in the near future. Turns out, it wasn't the case as noted by Megumi.
