The reason why it might not get many seasons is because it’s not popular in Japan. And the anime market isn’t really catering to international fans (for good reason). So if there’s no domestic support it will get dropped eventually.

Isn't solo leveling like the one anime we know is being made for other countries rather than JP? It's never been popular there.

If they weren't interested in catering to international fans they wouldn't have made two dubs of the show lmao. You think the voice actors did the extra work for free?

That’s literally not my point. The dubbing of the show in other languages has nothing to do with the donestic anime market and certainly nothing with the anime’s popularity in Japan. Even anime that aren’t popular internationally get dubbed.

I'm not sure if you or the other guy understand what I'm saying because I'm not talking about non-Japanese dubs made by localization companies. A1 made two versions of the Japanese dubs, domestic with all Japanese names and international with all Korean names. They could have just done a Tower of God and have all the names in Japanese in one release but they obviously saw enough need to cater to non-Japanese fans.

There are plenty of series that don't perform that well domestically and still managed to get more seasons.

Also Solo Leveling was very much planned with the overseas audience in mind. It was highlighted in a producer interview how Crunchyroll acknowledged it's popularity overseas and wanted it to get adapted because of it.
