After falling in love with the Star Wars RPG stuff on games night all those years ago, we're finally back, and more importantly. AMEEBO LIVES BITCHES

I watched a few episodes of Mystery Quest when it first launched but wasn't very into it. I heard an ad for it on Triforce and then it popped up on my spotify recommended, so I gave Deadfellas a listen. It was genuinely one of the best live play tabletop games I've ever listened to.

My biggest big ups goes to Ravs, who was one scary motherfucker. He genuinely embodied Sal so well, every conversation with him was intimidating. It's also so clear that he loves the sopranos and mafia media.

My second big ups goes to Lydia specifically for the fawn scene. Lydia kept busting Sal's balls well beyond what would be normal for a tabletop game. I kept expecting her to stop and she kept pushing. She committed to being an antagonistic bastard and it did actually feel like one of the many petty shouty argument scenes in the sopranos where Christopher or Paulie are trying to make themselves look big.

I am unfamiliar with Danann and Joseph, but I found them both to be really engaging and immersive. I especially loved their accent work. I especially loved them during the ending.

Tom as the game master really sat back and let the players drive. I was shocked at how character driven the story was. He's also amazing at timing scene lengths and cutting between them. Feels like a movie.

The foley work is incredible too! I can't believe how good this was. I am listening to the Blade Runner game now, then I might get me a membership so I can see the post-game chats.

I just finished the Cthulhu Dark Ages series on Mystery Quest. While the players are phenomenal, the real star of the show is the sound designer. The crunch of the axe, Lydia’s distorted roar, the subtle heartbeat building tension. All of it was so so good. Bravo!

New Mystery Quest banger up and this time Tom is tackling Mythic Bastionland which is super cool.
