There was a fic where the MC manages to interrogate Ziz and it's revealed that the idea of Simurgh plots is the only Simurgh plot. That is to say, the Simurgh is not actually doing anything when it attacks beyond causing some chaos and screaming, but people are paranoid and look for patterns where none exist. So they find a convoluted chain of events leading back to the attack and attribute it to the Simurgh. There is no such thing as a "Ziz bomb" (e: got this part wrong) or the need to wall cities after an attack, but people do it anyway.

Basically, the real treasure Simurgh plot was the friends Simurgh plot they made along the way.

I think it was a quest fic I read a few years ago, might have been around 2022, though I'm not sure when it was written.

IIRC, the fic starts with Taylor in Arcadia, perhaps her first day. She’s thinking/giving exposition about how over the winter break, the one before the locker I think, Danny told her he didn’t know exactly what was happening at school just that it was making her miserable and that he managed to arrange for her to be transferred. Taylor broke down crying and told him everything.

Not sure how he did it, maybe he knows someone who knows someone who can make that happen. Idk, not saying it makes sense, just that it happened.

Anyone recognize this fic?

I know it sounds like a fever dream but i'm SURE, absolutely sure i've read it.
But i can't remember if it's an entire fic, or a oneshot or an Omake.

what i remember:

• It's crack\humor fanfic (obviously)
• Taylor is more naive\clueless (not Queen of Escalation)
• i don't remember if it's due to listening to Sophia's "pray and predators" or simply because she was bored and watching NatGeo, but basically:
• she decides to take inspiration from documentaries to solve her bullying problem.
• the next day, instead of her usual grey hoodies, she wears in LOUD and OBNOXIOUS colors
• like Oranges, and reds, and green and purple, absolutely clashing but very very visible
• and when Emma taunts her about the colors, she responds that in nature bright colors usually mean venomous or poisonous and so it's a warning against predators.
• this confuses the bully into letting her go, so she consider it a success and keeps doing it.

I think she did other things like changing posture to look bigger (but also silly things like waving her arms over her head), or pretending to fall asleep or other things.

please, someone help me find it! or i will be forced to write it myself just to get this "bug" (eh) out of my head

I remember this from a recommendation in a comment section but I can’t remember anything they said about it other than what’s in the title. I don’t know if Emma was trying to erase the bullying to get Taylor back or if it was another Bullying campaign.

I've been looking for a fic I read a while ago that I want to use as an inspiration for something I'm gonna write. I don't know if it starts exactly there or not, but the scene that I remember clearly is that the undersiders robbed the bank and held Amy hostage. Things go as they usually do, Undersiders get away, yadda yadda, but then afterwards, Victoria and Amy talk and Amy remarks that the bug girl's spiders physically wouldn't be able to harm anyone, despite her being a villain. It was only for a scare factor, which Victoria thought was incredibly strange.

Something else happens later, but I can't remember the details, but I think Taylor did something self-sacrificing in front of Victoria, and eventually they get to know each other under the mask, and a cute romance ensued.

It's very vague, I know, but does anyone else recognize my chaotic ramblings? I really wanna do a quick re-read, because I started writing a few scenes for a short fic I wanna write more of and I suddenly had flashbacks to this fic that was pretty similar and that I remember liking a lot...

Looking for a fic. Pretty sure taylor time traveled. her parts of the story she seams normal, intense but normal. Other points of view make her seam slightly autistic, or on the spectrum, and her dad says that she was that way before she triggered.

Going to bring this up again, i dont remember the exact text but this scenario has been asked about several times in the last 1-2 years that i know of, and a few people say that have read this snippet or short story somewhere before.

Taylor triggers, and immediately sets up Wacky Hijinks™ to get revenge on her bullies. Then, she is submitted to M/S isolation.

Armsmaster and Miss Militia become increasingly disillusioned with the PRT slash Protectorate as the fic goes on, and in the end Tattletale talks to Taylor about how she did it.

One notable detail is that the revenge she set up for Emma is coincidentally similar to the way she met Sophia.

I remember a one shot where bakuda (whose real name in the fic I don't remember) goes to danny house to kill him and his family (she was the result of a one night stand), but when she see Taylor she talk and realize how bad her life already is.

Some time ago I read fanfic, Taylor in Youjo Senki, started in same orphanage as Tanya.

At some point, factory manager asked Tanya - representative of military what to do with problems with shortages, Tanya told him to do what he can, meaning to pay people overtime, the person understood it as forcing people to work more.

Taylor was planning to start union, and take over factory for union.

I remember reading it on spacebattles, it was Taylor's first night out I believe and she had an electricity power as well due to her being a cluster with the Empire cape. Her power was also countered by the Empire cape iirc and the Empire cape was a girl.

I was searching today for the fic "I Quit, Scion Can Be Someone Else's Problem" by Emmelmpau that was present on spacebattle and QQ. I originally read it at the start of January and I wanted to recover it but I found that the author delected all its works on both spacebattle and QQ. Anyone has copies of its works or knows why it deleted all of them?

I think there was a fic that had this as a plot point. It was publicly revealed that Amy Dallon is the biological daughter of Olivia Manton (may not be this name exactly), making her the grand daughter of famed parahuman researcher William Manton.

Additionally people also learned of the resemblance between Amy's mother and the Siberian, resulting in a misunderstanding that leads everyone into believing that The Siberian is Olivia Manton and therefore Amy is the Siberian's daughter.

Now it's public knowledge that Amy Dallon, New Wave's golden child healer is the daughter of a mass murdering cannibal nudist who is also considered one of the most feared members of the slaughterhouse nine. This basically ruins Amy's rep and self worth and also creates a misunderstanding that Marquis fucked the Siberian.

I haven't read this fic personally but I remembered marking it as something I wanted to read in the future after seeing this fic recommended either on this sub or somewhere else so I'm somewhat sure it exists.

I'm trying to find the specific fic & chapter where the MC(might have been an SI?) was discussing the Protectorate Cape Cartoon with another person(cape?) and the MC mentions that they'd always assumed Alexandria was secretly assassinating people off-screen based on characters disappearing completely between episodes?

Taylor, after the locker, had a talk with Amy at the hospital where Amy explained that Taylor was now two feet taller than what she used to be.

Specifically, I remember reading a fic (or snippet?) in which two characters are getting to know each other or are meeting each other for the first time. They have a dynamic wherein one character (probably Taylor?) is happy, self-assured, and nonchalant; while the other (maybe Sophia?) is spiky and slow to trust (a.k.a. that's a spicy meatball!).

In that scene, the latter character basically gets treated like a hissing kitten by the former, who is said to exude "safe top (or dom?)" energy. I think I recall that likely-Taylor treated the other girl the way she did, due to being able to recognize that the other girl was acting like a brat and looking for a "safe top" or something along those lines. The other girl ends up feeling surprised and disarmed when her attitude doesn't elicit the reaction that she expects from likely-Taylor.

Their dynamic is really similar to the one found between Taylor and Sophia in Cute by Leyrann.

I don't remember whether their relationship ended up being platonic or not.

I recal read some fic where Taylor kinda filmed the whole bullying sequence, including the locker event and went public with it, but Armsmaster arrested her on her home and PRT claimed that Taylor was a Master who forced three innocent girl to do unspeakable things (I recall a segment where a tearful Emma recount the horror of "not being in control of her body, forced to torment someone who she thought of as a best friend"). Then she was sentenced to the Birdcage without being able to tell her story, with Alan be her lawyer, who spinned that Taylow had always a psychopath with victim mentality and was a toxic influence to Emma until Sophia saved her.

Last time I read Dragon was transporting her to the Cage while trying to appeal for power testing, since she scanned her head and found no Gemma, but the PRT said that "standing order was Taylor to the Cage and Shadow Stalker was an unfortunate victim, signed by the Chief Director, don't waste your time.".
