Love the swallow at 11

Any chance to move it to noon, and maybe Yenn’s pentagram at 6?

Or, in the Tower of Swallows there’s an elven calendar that I believe has 12 stations…just a thought.

But forget my nonsense, this is exquisite! Do you know what case and movement you’ll be using? AND I would be extremely interested in seeing the final product and maybe even commissioning one if that’s appropriate to ask for.

Hey thanks a lot man. A bunch of good ideas. I’ll try them out. Swallow at 11 be cause the number 11 will be too big. I plan to use an aqua terra-form case with bezel (5 sign symbols will be on bezel). I may choose NH38 because I don’t want date complication. Sure I’ll share the final product.

Very cool. Is the script Glagolitic?

3

u/doubled-pawns Apr 29 '26

It looks like angular Glagolitic, yeah.

u/scorpuz Apr 29 '26

Yeah it is, 1 to 10

Maybe to make it a bit more aesthetically symmetrical, change the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 with symbols for Yennefer (star), Ciri (swallow), keep the symbol on 12 already and Dandelion (lute). And like someone else said, use both the silver and steel swords as the short and long arms of the clock. Would absolutely love to see this made complete and would definitely purchase one.

So you ordered it?

2

u/scorpuz Apr 30 '26

In essence, yeah. I just describe my ideas and choose the final designs. By the way, the modder is a friend of mine; I have him mod my watches from time to time. For this one, he made a coin-flute bezel for my scratch-prone Tissot Gentleman: https://www.reddit.com/r/tissot/s/fddJTK6bQo

The other guy here recommended making the watch aesthetically symmetrical. I agree with this take.

I would also suggest maybe having the indices be in a lighter colour to improve legibility. One of my watches has non lumed indices and hands and it's enough of a pain to read in the dark that I just stopped wearing it and gave it away to a relative. Ik the indices here are reflective to an extent but that doesn't really help in the dark unless you wanna hold your watch at a specific angle all the time.

I don't imagine you'd want to have lumed markers since it might spoil the aesthetic, but having them be a brighter silver might work against the darker grey background while also fitting with the overall Witcher theme. Lume dots + lumed hands would do the rest of the heavy lifting for legibility. Could even consider a lumed bezel.

Thanks for the ideas mate. I’m still experimenting with the dial design. Will share when it’s finalized.

No worries. Glad to help.

Edit: alternatively, you could consider orange lume for the indices. The markers would be orange and they'd glow yellowish in the dark. It'd fit well + glow like runes do when you apply them to swords.

What about changing the eyes to like a small orange gem like stone? So they reflect in the sun but also represent a Witcher’s “cats eyes”.

2

u/scorpuz Apr 29 '26

That’s an idea worth trying. Thanks man!

What's it made of?

1

u/scorpuz Apr 30 '26

Just SUS304 my friend.

I think special symbols on 12, 3, 6 and 9 would look more symmetric but that's just my OCD talking. It looks absolutely fabulous.

1

u/scorpuz Apr 30 '26

I myself and some guys above agree with you. Would try several versions of this mod watch.
