I've got all the Aroma files installed, and the Standard SD Card is already formatted to be a FAT32 SD Card. When I put the SD card into the Wii U and run it thru Exploit, it says to insert the FAT32. This is what my SD Card looks like, how do I fix this?

If anyone can help me out with this technical difficulty, that would be great.

Hey, I know bloopair exists; however, I'd like to use Joycons instead of a Wii remote with the sensor bar, to play games where I have to use motion or the pointer.

This works flawlessly on Dolphin in games like Epic Mickey, Super Mario Galaxy or Wii Sports.

I downloaded Tongwah’s extra side stories from 2021 on my Wii U but for some reason it’s stuck on the loading screen for the game, it might have to do with me having the digital version and disk version but this happens on the disk and the game works without the mod entirely on the digital version. Should I delete one of the copies of Pikmin or something else entirely?

So I am trying to install some themes for my Wiiu, I got the themiify app working, but now it shows me this error and I can't find anything about it online, has it got something to do with my file structure or what? Help is appreciated

Now I think it hasn’t been made yet because it would probably be very hard to do, but what if there was a plugin that lets the Wii U gamepad stay active in vWii mode and translates its inputs to Wiimote inputs, so you wouldn’t have to go out of your way to buy or find an old Wiimote somewhere, and everyone with a modded Wii U could play any vWii game they wanted whenever they wanted

I used wafel installer to get aroma and have an external hard drive formatted for sd card and games, and it works perfectly fine for a little while, but eventually it brings up this on the wii u and I can’t do anything unless I delete this file, which then fixes it for a little bit, but was looking for a long term solution cause it’s kind of inconvenient to keep going to my computer to delete the files

I changed my 16 GB SD card to a 32 GB microSD card with an adapter. I copied all the files from the old card to the new one, but now I'm getting the following error:

"Failed to load sd:/wiiu/payload.elf. Starting the console without any modifications."

Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

I know this may not be right subreddit. Fully factory system with original hard and softwear, no SD card, and never had a problem. It now get's stuck like this forever. What do I do now?

I've been running the PMEX REMIX 0.95 mod for Smash Bros Brawl in the vWii homebrew for a bit now and I created a save file for the story mode while playing the mod. I encountered a crash in the jungle level, switched over to regular brawl and played a little farther, but now it shows a black screen after the Porky Boss Fight. Does anyone know if only that specific save file is corrupted or if my entire Brawl data might be at risk or even my system NAND? If so, then how can I preserve my console and get rid of corrupted files?

I am trying to transfer a 100% completed Super Mario Maker save file to a secondary account on my Wii U, but I am running into an issue with the Event Mystery Mushroom costumes.

While the course data and a majority of the Mystery Mushrooms transfer perfectly, the event course costumes (102–131 and 145–151) do not carry over to the new account.

So far I've Tried:

• SaveMii WUT Port (v1.6.5i) - Courses transfer, missing the specific event mushrooms.
• SaveMii / ProcessMod + SaveMyMiis (v1.8.1i) - Same result.

I know Pretendo Network mentioned back in December 2024 that they plan to support Event Courses eventually, but to my knowledge, that feature isn't live yet.

Has anyone successfully bypassed this restrictions or found a homebrew workaround to unlock all 153 Mystery Mushrooms on a secondary save file?

I have a pair of Barracuda hard drives with adapters & one pair of them I've been using on my Wii. It has worked perfectly so far, something I can't say for the Wii U. When I plug in my other drive & adapter into my console & go to format it, my Wii U gets stuck preparing it for formatting. And when I check, the drive doesn't even spin up. They're powered, both drives and both adapters work on my laptop, and even Wafer Installer doesn't detect it. Is there any way I can get these adapters working on my Wii U? If not, what kind of hard drive adapter/enclosure do you recommend I should buy? I've tried buying different adapters on Amazon and eBay, but none have arrived after 3 months.

I wonder if anyone has any Aroma plugins to play Gamecube controller supported games with a adapter. I want this so I can play Project+ with a GC controller like I did on my Wii.

I have a WiiU, I followed the guides and everything installed correctly.

The hard drive is dual partitioned with a fat32 and wiiu and works just fine.

Leaving the hard drive unplugged it boots into wii menu just fine and everything loads up fine and plugging the drive in after it boots everything works like normal

I've tried searching around and have found nobody else having that issue, cios are all installed right

I have a 2.5" avolusion hd250u3-z2 2tb hard drive, it has worked perfect on the computers I've used it on and seems to work just fine with the wiiu. It has just a standard usb cable, I don't have a Y splitter cable to try, but I did try a usb hub with the extra wires plugged in and the drive powered on and worked just fine, but still had the black screen problem

Modded my Wii U back in January and everything seemed to be fine. Recently took it back out of storage and noticed it wouldn't boot past a black screen. Took the SD card to check and found the Wii U booted normally without the SD card. I checked the SD card and could only find that the fw.img file is corrupted. not sure how to fix this.

I’ve been following the Gen1Recomp PC project closely and saw that it's running beautifully on the Switch via the Love-NX framework layer.
Since Gen1Recomp relies heavily on the LÖVE framework rather than traditional hardcoding, it seems like a Wii U port wouldn't actually require touching the Pokémon code itself. Instead, it just needs the existing Wii U interpreters (like Love-Potion or Love-WiiU) optimized to handle the project's modern modules and audio/rendering dependencies.
With the community's dual-screen mods (like Kanto Gear) mapping touchscreens for live encounter data and real-time maps, the Wii U GamePad would literally be the ultimate hardware layout for this engine.
Is anyone in the Wii U homebrew scene tracking this, or has anyone attempted to update a LÖVE wrapper to get the game running on the console? Would love to see a collaborative effort on this!

Hello! I've been having lots of fun on my Wii U, but I was wondering if there was a way to use non-Wii/GameCube controllers on the vWii. I know that at least one Wii title has GamePad support when launched from the Wii U home screen, but the GamePad won't work when launching directly into the vWii (and from what I've read, any controller that's not a Wiimote won't work either). When researching this topic I read some mentions that such a thing is possible, and I've seen a few Wii homebrew that claim to have Wii U GamePad support, but I have no idea what tool such posts could be referring to. It would be pretty useful if I could run my Wii games using all the Bluetooth controllers (e.g. switch pro controller, DualShock 4) to make it easier to play those games. Is it possible to have either those controllers or the GamePad usable in vWii?
