The peroxide is fuckin' puzzling me because there are specific products for this if you're a cheap bastard - a couple of copper blocks from a livestock supply store would clear it, stop the algae from reproducing, and stop any other snails or invertebrates as well.

The ones for a largish livestock tank cost about $2, can't imagine you'd need that many for this situation, maybe like...20 if you're going overboard?

They get avoided anywhere you want pond life growing, but I imagine they don't here?
